After a transitional period, the twelfth season of ER is one of the best in recent years. The main storylines revolve around Luka and Abby getting back together and some life changing decisions they have to make. After the departure of Carter and the reduced role of Kerry Weaver, it also sees them come to the forefront as the show's lead characters. There are also some big developments surrounding Michael and Neela and his decision to return to the army. There seems to be a bit more stability in this series as characters such as Ray, Sam and Morris begin to bed in.
There are some great guest appearances from Kristen Johnson as Nurse Manager, Eve, and John Leguizamo as the troubled Victor Clemente.
Amongst the stand out episodes are All About Christmas Eve, I Do and The Tragic Hero and the Gallant Victor. However, there are others, and I feel it's a fairly strong season overall. There is also a brilliant cliffhanger of a season finale, one of the best, which is sure to leave you dying to see the next episode. Unfortunately not in this box set!!

This is one of the better seasons of the 'late period' of ER (past season 8/9), with truly interesting plotlines. Greg Pratt, Ray Barnett and Neela Rasgotra get the most character development this year, which is good as this changes things around a little, as most character development tended to be on Luka and Abby for the past couple of seasons. Both do get major screentime though, with their plotline, which is great as Maura Tierney and Goran Visnjic are excellent actors.
The stronger episodes for me were Blame It on the Rain, Dream House, the usual stunt episode Two Ships and Darfur. The final 3 episodes, There Are No Angels Here, The Gallant Hero and the Tragic Victor, and 21 Guns may be the strongest close to a season ever, all are highly dramatic and a pleasure to watch. Special mention must go to the episode Body & Soul, with James Woods as Dr. Nate Lennox, for a very well crafted and emotional episode, possibly the best of the season.
In conclusion this is definitely a good season, but it is worth buying earlier seasons first in order to watch the characters develop and mature. A good purchase!

These are the same discs that are in the complete box set, and are of terrible quality. Amazon refunded me, but I had all they hassle and cost of returning all 15 sets. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Such a pity, because the series is brilliant.

Without any doubt Season 11 was the weakest series so far in ER's distinguished history. Season 12 however proved that there was still life in the old dog with some superb individual episodes, some good long running plotlines and the introduction of some genuinly cool characters including Kristen Johnston as the ER's new nurse manager and John Lequizamo as Dr. Victor Clemente as a new attending physician.

There are some nice single episodes which make the season stand out including two episodes set in Darfur with Carter, Pratt has some problems in the ER and flys out to join him for the second episode. In addition to this there is also James Woods who appears as one of Abby's former medical school teachers suffering from ALS (Lou Gherigs Disease) as well as Laura Innes (Dr Weaver) taking the reins and directing for a few episodes doing a truly competent job.

Finally (which is convenient) the season cliff hanger is incredible and made me so glad that i had bought season 12 and season 13 at the same time so that i could put the next disc on straight away. if season 11 left you feeling disappointed, season 12 will leave you flying high.

After 11 previous seasons, ER was still as fresh and exciting as it ever was before. Although all the original characters had left by then, and would be sadly missed, the storylines were still as gripping and heartwarming as before. I have been gradually making my way through the entire back-catalogue of ER since last summer, and have enjoyed every single moment. Of course seasons 1-6 were probably the best of the lot, I still love the later ones, and am impressed they managed to make it to 15 seasons. Bravo.

I've loved ER since the very first season. I went off track with the show for a number of varying social reasons but came back to it and decided to complete my DVD collection of the show.

I'm glad I did, yes a lot of the known characters left and new ones came in but it's still as good. Everything has to change to keep it fresh! Really loved the show, the season I had and the seller was 1st class in the speed in which the transaction was completed and item dispatched.

Being the 12th season of a show you might think that it would start to get stale, repeating the same storylines. But you'd be wrong If anything ER has gotten better with each season. Season 12 has some great episodes including the explosive season final "Twenty-One Guns" with new cast members protrayed by John Leguizamo and Kristen Johnston. Brilliant season all round.
