its fast in charging the device connected to it
its very reasonably priced for the 13000 mAh power.
only con is that it does not charge my android tablet but quickly charges another tablet i have.
therefore score not the full 5 out of 5
The second way in which it is hefty is in the amount of charge it holds. I was given a free product in exchange for a review and so I spent a week using the battery as the sole way in which to charge my electronic devices just to see how long it lasted. A week later, I had used it to charge my phone, Kindle, iPod and a bluetooth speaker on more than one occasion and had still only used 25% of the charge. This is very impressive, especially as it can charge two items at the same time (one slot is specifically for items such as tablets but you can recharge smaller devices in it as well) - larger items use more power but you should still get quite a few recharges from this product. The battery also doubles as a very effective small torch which will last a very long time but which is probably a bit unwieldy to hold for considerable periods because of the weight and the size of the battery (people with strong, large hands will be fine).
I can see that this would be a very useful product if you were travelling a lot or camping for a period. It could also be used where you have a number of people who might need to recharge devices over a day or so and who could share it. It is not light enough really to carry around in a bag just in case you needed it but it would fit easily into the glove compartment of a car or a suitcase.
The amount of charge remaining in the battery is shown by four blue lights which reduce in number as it empties. The battery is charged up itself using mini-USB cable which is included but you will need a plug if you want to recharge from the mains suppy. A cable with a number of different attachments is provided for you to charge your devices, or you could use your own cables. The battery could have done with a travelling case or container of some sort to store these as they are easy to lose. In fact, a case might have been nice to hold the battery and whatever cables you needed when out and about.
All in all, a useful, substantial and robust product.
They are ideal for the traveller who is away from a power socket, or for a camper or a festival goer, as even the smallest capacity will get your phone recharged at least once. All you need to decide is how much power you need, and how much space and weight you want it to take up in your bag or pocket.
I've had many of these things - a few have died in the bath - and this would be my recommended one of choice; it has a whopping 13000mah (enough capacity for my Nexus 4 to be charged at least 4 times). It has a pleasant rubberised surface to the case, and is still a convenient size and weight (about the size of a pack of tarot cards, and the weight of a small bag of sugar). ***I was unable to get it to work with my Galaxy Ace II, which seems to be a common problem.***
There are (as with most) two USB outputs to charge from: one slower charge (for phones), and one faster charge (which tablets need). It comes with a set of universal USB lead connectors, which are a bit better than the usual ones that come with these batteries, but they are still quite delicate and look like they won't last too long; it's best to charge using the leads that come with the gadget being charged.
I take this with me everywhere. The only downside is that it takes at least eight hours to fill the powerpack up, but that's because it holds so much juice.
This is a real bargain - it's a beast. You'll be amazed at how useful this battery is, I love it!
