It's packed with the sort of advice and tips that if properly taken on board would really make the reader more noteworthy... For those more open to altering their behaviour, this is an excellent place to start. --Director Magazine

As well as this, Rob Yeung takes this information and shows you how to apply the findings to your own life and goals. It is filled with exercises which really get you thinking outside the box (love the puzzles!). For me, I especially like the chapter on Awe about becomming more creative and also the capability of `centeredness', which shows how you can keep calm, centred though using techniques such as mindfulness and different ways of expressing your emotions. As the author says, if you want to make a difference in your life you need to use the exercises, but it really does pay off if you choose to, it has for me.
By the way, this book is NOT the same book as I is for influence!!!!!
I honestly think it is an excellent book and a brilliant way of uncovering patterns and behaviour that would not be immediately obvious. A really remarkable, informative but interesting read.
Highly, highly recommended.
This book E Is For Exceptional is also very readable and has quite a few lessons that I had not come across before. One of the best things about the book is that it is based on evidence. As I lecture at college, I encourage my students to write their assignments based on research and this book is as rigorous as a textbook but as readable as any good advice book. I;'ve suggested that a few colleagues should also read this book.
The author interviews a number of successful people and has extracted some guidelines for success in work and life. The book covers different skills such as 'cherishing' and 'awe'. I found the interviews reasonably good (but not great) although there was great research-based advice which I did find really intriguing and helpful. I found the chapter on 'citizenship' of particular note as it seems that big organizations are now increasingly getting in trouble for not being good corporate citizens.
P.S. THIS BOOK IS *NOT* THE SAME AS 'I IS FOR INFLUENCE'. IF YOU CHECK THE 'CLICK TO LOOK INSIDE' ICON TO READ A FEW PAGES OF THIS BOOK AND 'I IS FOR INFLUENCE', YOU WILL SEE THAT THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. 'E IS FOR EXCEPTIONAL' *IS* THE SAME BOOK AS 'THE EXTRA ONE PERCENT' THOUGH (which is just what the description of the book says and not what the other reviewer has said)!
On the plus side, I is for influence is fantastic so if u haven't read it this book wil make a great read :-)
