The negatives, the dust container is smaller so it needs emptying more often. The whole thing is plastic! It is a very clever design but plastic is not a longterm material, on our old Dyson the handle snapped off as the plastic gave way due to fatigue.
Considering it is made in China and of plastic it seems a little pricey to me.
Having said that I am not sure what the alternatives are which give you the same sort of features and performance.
