Product description

Dust Blowing :"This is an atmospheric and highly evocative depiction of war-torn Afghanistan. While a host of personalities flit in and out of the story, the enduring character is Afghanistan itself... as if the land is a slumbering giant that the protagonists are afraid to awake." - Jake Wallis Simons - Adjudication - Winchester Short Story Competition. Working Away: "We were all struck by the combination of grace, technique, empathy, feeling and control that made this intensely moving story work... I can feel it still." - Andrew Grieg - Lead judge - Neil Gunn International Competition. Sow the Wind: "A beautifully drawn moment in time of a couple in crisis - with real emotional heft." - Michael Malone - Adjudication - Booktown Writers Short Story Competition
