Why buy Duronic?
We supply these models worldwide, and have supplied our HDMI products into 00,000's of homes. We do not use Chinese PCB's on our models, our PCB are manufactured outside China, they perform better in many aspects. The metal connectors we use are high quality gold plated connectors unlike cheaper plated connectors which do not perform as good as Duronic connectors in terms of durability and performance over the long period. Our switch are built with capacitor and resistor parts to make the switch perform at optimal level all the time.

The only flaw I've found is that the blue light is so bright that you could use it as a nightlight, thankfully the box is so small that it was easy to reposition so that they were no longer a problem (as illustrated in the before and after pictures).

Update 18/6/20
My mistake. Turns out it was the HDMI lead that was faulty. Once that was changed this box works well. Apologies. Lesson here is for me to check all connections first.
However, it is a fantastic little gadget when it does work as most TV's don't have enough HDMI ports for the amount of products available (i.e. DVD player, Playstation, Xbox, Sky etc etc). It automatically recognises which device is turned on and switches over to that device. If you have two devices on at once, you can just click the button on the switch and it rotates round between input 1,2 and 3. Very easy to use and very good device - when it works!!
For one PC, it has worked faultlessly. For the other, it usually works, but I sometimes have to unplug the cable and plug it back in before the monitor will connect to the PC. This appears to be an issue with the monitor driver on the PC, not a fault with the switch. I often had the same problem after putting the PC to sleep even before I bought the switch - at least it's easier to unplug the cable from the switch than from the back of either the PC or the monitor.
My only criticism of the product is that the indicator LED is too bright. In use that has not been as annoying as I anticipated. The light turns off when both PCs are powered down, so does not keep the room lit all night.
This Duronic Auto Switch box makes it possible for me to send the signal from any one of these three devices, without having to exchange and reconnect HDMI cables.
It is important to mention that the Auto Switch operates at its greatest level of efficiency when the chosen gadget is the only one which is switched on, in which case it locates the appropriate HDMI output. Bearing this in mind, the Now TV box is always on, as there is no on/off switch, so I tend to disconnect it from the mains when it is not in use.
On those rare occasions when the correct output has not been determined, it takes a matter of seconds to press the button on the Auto Switch to cycle through the outputs until the correct one has been located.
Overall this is a most useful product, which serves its purpose very well indeed and serves to retain superb picture quality in all connected devices.
Unfortunately, using the exact same cables with the HRS1051 5 Port, I got no picture at all... just an acknowledgement on the monitor that some vague signal was being sent. From my PC, I just got a (nearly) black screen. From my PlayStation 3, I get white noise.
I tried various cables with no success. Switching back to the HDS3, everything worked fine again.
Conclusion: stick to the 3 port version. It doesn't require any power, and does the job just fine.
