I bought 5 packs (of four) of these and I have to say that they are the best I've bought so far. I've always gone for Uniross as they did the job and were fairly cheap but the charge used to go quickly in my digital camera (which has no traditional viewfinder). These Duracell batteries held their charge for about four times longer than I would have expected any of the Uniross ones to have done and I got almost 500 photos over 4 days on just one pair (I usually carry 6 batteries on that sort of trip). I've checked them all and there hasn't been a single bad one either. Really pleased and would recomend them to anyone wanting a good quality but affordable rechargeable battery.

Duracells rechargeable batteries are some of the only ones that actually do what it says on the box - recharge easily. All you need is a type A charger for standard [AA] batteries, the batteries, a socket and a couple of hours time. Once charged they last for ages even on my power-guzzling digital camera. They are very tough and mine have been through a lot since they were bought and still they are going strong. Apart from being strong on the outside they are also very well made on the inside and can be recharged over and over again without ever getting tired. So if you have a type A charger and a need for some good batteries then get these because they are really the top of the range ones.

Bought these to replace 4 x AA Uniross 2700mAH batteries. The Uniross were approx 18 months old and would hold charge for around 8 hours before being totally exhausted - regardless of whether they were used in my camera or not.

These batteries are great. Charged via my Uniross Sprint 1 hour charger, these have held their charge for approx 2 weeks now, still supplying my camera with enough power for rapid flash charge. Camera is a Canon A700 with LCD on - it demands a lot of power to recycle the flash.

    Definitely recommended over Uniross.

I just purchased these batteries and I need to warn the purchaser that they don't work in all devices. I tried them in a Cateye bike light and they were dim and lost power within 30 mins. Secondly, they would not even turn on my Nikon Coolpix digital camera. The batteries are probably fine, but I just want you to know that you should check to see if you can use them in the device you have. Also, these batteries have a slight wider diameter (not noticeable visibly) so they do not fit as well or not at all. I've seen this increased width with other rechargeable AA batteries as well.

The "high power" non-rechargeable batteries that came with my new camera lasted less than a day. These Duracell Supreme just seem to go on and on and on, and the flash seems to recharge loads quicker than with standard photo batteries. Highly recommended.

I purchased these for use with my Wii. They charged very quickly and last an age between charges thanks to the the 2650mAh. There's also the typical robust build quality as you would expect from Duracell.

If you have any gaming remote, digital camera, or any other product that requires AA batteries, these will serve you very well and repay you many times over compared to buying disposable batteries.

PS. For anyone buying a Wii, these are a far cheaper option than any of the docking stands if you already have a battery charger.

Best price I could find for quality rechargeable batteries, I have bought several packs and I am sure that I will need to buy a few more. Also, it is free postage from MDS Battery Ltd, plus their service is very fast. Recommended.

Edit: After using these batteries for a few months now, I have to agree with those other reviewers who are having problems with the battery life in their digital cameras. I have a Fuji and I find that the batteries need recharging quite frequently, especially after the camera has not been used for a week or so. The batteries are also useless in my torch although they are fine in Wii controllers. It seems they lose charge very quickly, unless the item they are in is used regularly. I would now give them only 3 stars.

Another edit (Feb 2012): I have changed my rating to 1 star but even that is too much. I have now completely given up on these batteries and do not use them at all, as they simply do not hold the charge. If anyone is considering buying these, please think carefully - they may work great at the beginning but soon they deteriorate to the point where they become unusable because you never know when they run out. I now have a little pile of useless batteries which I can't even give away! Pay a little extra and get other makes, you will be glad you did.

These batteries represent a considerable saving versus ordinary disposable batteries as these should provide over 500 charges at a purchase cost of around £6 for 4. Disposable batteries are about £2.50 for 4 so over just 10 charges that's £19 saved (as the electricity to charge costs a fraction of a penny). Imagine the savings after 50 or 100 charges of batteries used in a wireless gamepad for example...

Also rechargeable batteries last much much longer in high drain uses such as cameras and LED lights so overall are a great choice.
