I purchased a pair of these batteries to use with my Neewer battery grip for my 7D. After a while of shooting, I've noticed no issues. They hold charge just fine and have no problems with the standard Canon charger.

I took 300 shots the other day and, upon putting them into the charger on my return home, found that they were still on 'three blinks'. They'd hardly even started!

At these prices, it's worth a go for anyone not looking to pay the high prices for the genuine articles.

Duracell Replacement Digital Camera Battery for Canon LP-E6 Battery

Canon 60D and Canon 7D Replacement Battery by Duracell LP-E6

I choose the Duracell replacement battery for several reasons - it's a well known and respected brand, it's less than half the price of the original Canon, comes with a 3 year warranty that not only covers the battery itself but also covers any device it is used in. I charged it fully before first use, inserted it into my Canon EOS 60d and registered it without any problems. It does not suffer from "memory" problems and can be recharged without the need to recondition it.

Part number :- Duracell DR9943.
Energy output 10.4Wh/7.4V (1400mAh)

Hi this wasn't recognised by my Canon 70D and wouldn't charge in my Canon 70D charger so I sent it back.and bought a different one for £10 which does charge and is recognised by my camera. I have had a Duracell battery for my Canon 40D and that was fine so I was very surprised.

Perhaps I was sold on the brand, but my LP-E6 for the 7D has approximately half the capacity of my Canon equivalent. It is well made and a good back up battery, and arguably at half the price of an original you can't complain too much. But I expected more.

I've purchased 2 of these Duracell E6 batteries for my Canon 7D camera, and am thoroughly happy with their performance.

I've had bad experiences with cheap imitation non-branded batteries in the past (not just for cameras, but also laptops and
xbox wireless controller batteries). They work for a couple of times, then you find they start failing to hold their charge
and then they decide they need to visit the afterlife at the worst possible moment. The situation gets exasperated if you use
poor quality batteries in cold temperatures. More often than not, the batteries fail just outside their warranty period leaving you
high and dry.

Not these Duracell babies though, they are the real McCoy and hold excellent charge when using equipment.
I highly recommend them... you will not be disappointed.

Duracell is one brand I used to swear by, right from the days of putting it in my walkman (yes, I'm old!) to later CD discmen (told ya I was old) and even later MP3 players, flash lights, remotes etc

I picked this one up as a replacement and it worked great!
... the first few times.

Then suddenly it wont charge nor hold a charge even after being in the official charge for the whole night.

I put it in the camera and the camera wont even start up, just shows me the low battery warning.

Maybe I got a dud, but looking at the other reviews it looks like I am not the only one :(

Come on Duracell, get your act together.

Only had it a few weeks but so far this Duracell LP-E6 replacement battery appears to work fairly well inside the camera (Canon 5D MkII). The main issues so far are: it does NOT register with the camera, and also the battery meter inside the camera becomes totally unreliable. For example, I've shot a couple of hundred frames and the meter still reads 100%. The charger won't give reliable readings either during charging. I can't comment yet on the battery life until the it has completely run down, even then the camera may still be reading 100%? Next time I might go for a Canon battery instead.

I always have a spare battery with me, and I tend to object to Canon prices, so have 1 Canon and A.N.Other as a spare.Having to replace my spare after several years I got this one as Duracell are a respected make. Well it's OK, charges as normal and the camera functions perfectly well with it. The only issue is that the charge doesn't hold for as long when just kept as a spare, and tends to use up it's charge a little quicker when in use.So it's OK considering the price, and I find it quite acceptable for use as either a spare or a replacement "main" battery, but it isn't quite up to Canon standards.
OK, an update on this review. After 1 year approx. of use as a spare, I changed the camera for a 7D Mk2. It suddenly showed as a "faulty battery" when using the Canon charger. It did have a charge, but only seemed to go to 40% charge according to the camera. However this state of affairs never changed. It was OK as a spare when the main battery was being charged, but maybe it can't cope with the added load of the new camera. (Canon have a slightly upgraded battery for this, capacity wise). Also as others have said it seems as though it's the newer Canon chargers that give the problem with some non-Canon batteries.. So I reluctantly bit the bullet and got a Canon battery and discarded this one. I would now be reluctant to buy another one of these.
