The product arrived in good time but the original packaging had been tampered with. 1 pack of 24. The seal was broken and and box had been re sealed using sellotape. I use these batteries for a small hand held cooling fan, the batteries normally last a week but these are pathetic and are struggling straight away after fitting. They must be either partly used or complete seconds and not fit for use. I realise now after reading other reviews its pot luck as to whether you get good or bad batteries. What do Amazon have to say about this because it has really disappointed me and I feel totally ripped off !! I will never buy batteries on Amazon again.

My second attempt to highlight mis-selling (my first complaint having gone missing, presumably in the interests of customer-centred retailing). Quite simply this product is dispatched from and sold by Amazon, and as such it is the company’s responsibility if, as is the case here, a listing offers a product made in Europe that is actually made in China. It is particularly disappointing if you’ve spent seventy pounds on these 9vs and some D cells only to find they were sold under false pretences and included quite a few fakes. My need was immediate so I cannot return the order, but since the listing is unchanged I have to assume the company has no objection to misleading buyers and that they disallowed my previous comment for the same reason. However powerless even retail giants feel themselves to be against criminal organisations which poison the supply chain with fakes across the board these days, they most certainly have a responsibility to avoid false advertising. It seems buying from Amazon guarantees a sensible returns policy and very little else these days. I shall purchase my batteries elsewhere in future.

Packaging Problem

The batteries seem fine but the packaging is hopeless. I ordered 4 PP9 batteries and received the delivery the following day (great). The package that I received was empty (not so good).

The automated returns page is no use because you have to return the faulty product (difficult to do when you don’t have it). It was sorted out when I spoke to customer service but instead of next day delivery, it took three days from placing the original order to receiving the product.

The package is the kind that’s intended to hold books and has a cardboard flap at each end to stop the books falling out. Works great for a few books; not so good for a small pack of batteries which can very easily fall out. The 2nd package that I received did include the batteries but I only had to apply slight pressure to one of the flaps for the batteries to fall out.

Why does Amazon use such rubbish packaging?

Extremely unimpressed with this order.

Every battery i had in my box was flat. The shelf life was 2020 so not entirely sure why none of my batteries worked. I tried them in several devices that were working on other batteries and would not power with these batteries.

Bought directly from Amazon so not sure what happened but in all fairness i was given a refund.

not as good as they once were [ i am a retired spark ] and have used hundreds of batteries many years ago Philips made batteries to compete with Duracell and the Philips won everytime they lasted a lot longer .those particular Philips batters are no longer available [probable because they were too good !? } and at the time only available to the trade anyone that watched rip off Britain this week 20 oct 2016 may have seen the item about batteries and to my amazement lidels own alkaline batteries beat all the top end batteries so maybe i will try some of their batteries next ?

Long sell by date, so I'm happy these will store until needed. I've used Duracell before and for regular use, I'm happy with their performance. I use them in laptop mouse, wireless speakers and clocks where they last for months and often years. Competitive price; at least one third cheaper than buying from local supermarket. Very pleased.

Unhappy with this purchase, received this today and the seal is broken. There is tape holding the packaging together, I put a couple of random batteries on a battery tester and shown less than 50% power left, this has been clearly used and returned then I have received it. I feel this is poor as I'm paying for batteries that will probably die straight away.

I'm not entirely convinced by these batteries, when they arrived the 4 x 9v batteries were housed in a small carboard box unlike other 4 pack Duracell batteries I've purchased previously in stores in the UK so I decided to have a read of the reviews and others it appears have had issues with quality or how long they last..

Now I only use these in my smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and the devices warn me if the battery is on its way out so not concerned as they do work, but if they last as long as my previous ones I purchased locally in a supermarket remains to be seen.

What I did notice in checking the packaging is the support address is listed as being in Spain and the batteries themselves are listed as being made in China, now as a Chinese lady myself I do buy a lot of Chinese goods but take extra care where I buy them from as unfortunately there are a lot of fake items or just not always the standard of quality control that I find with UK products. I love my country and we make some superb products but even so for clothes for example I would normally by European as they just tend to be better quality even when the production site is in China, it's just a quality control thing.

I hope they're right and only time will tell if they last as well with no leakage and if so I will return and update my review but at the moment the experiences others have had and the different packaging do make me wonder and bit a bit sceptical so scoring accordingly.
