The thing that really makes this dvd such a gem though is the featurette on 'requiem'. D&D was cancelled in its third series and although the writers had come up with a final script it was never animated. On this dvd, mark evanier (creator) talks of how he would have liked his final episode to be portrayed. The script is included on the disc which, for big fans like myself, makes a really interesting read. do they finally get home? You'll have to buy the dvd adn find out for yerself!
Unfortunately, though I can't say exactly why, there's something about this last volume of Dungeons and Dragons which wasn't quite as enjoyable as the previous three volumes. Somehow, the episodes felt a little rushed, and lacked the atmosphere and sense of danger of previous series'. It's all still fun to watch, just a shame that it ends up being a bit forgetable after its done.
The featurette about "Requiem", the final episode of Dungeons and Dragons which was never aired (or completed beyond the script) was pretty interesting. I recommend it for fans that want to know what happened to the show (and more importantly, would like to know how it was intended to end) but I wouldn't conider the DVD worth buying just for that alone.
