- 12 non-random, 25mm scale, fully painted miniatures from the DnD miniatures back catalogue - 1 small (Halfling Rogue), 9 medium, 1 large (Earth Elemental) and 1 Copper Dragon.
- Thick cardstock, reversible "jigsaw" playing surface that's compatible with the DnD adventure board game series like Dungeons & Dragons: Castle RavenLoft Board Game [With 20-Sided Die and 200 Encounter, Monster, and Treasure Cards and Tiles, Markers, Tokens and Ru and works well as a small encounter map for regular DnD sessions as well.
- Full rules for the Dungeon Command game, along with Faction "power" cards and 2 Hero cards.
This contains everything you need to get started with Dungeon Command, as there are enough cards and minis to play 1 vs 1 matches. The product also compliments other DnD products very well, and compared to some of the prices for the DnD Miniature sets (e.g Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) Miniatures ~ Divine Heroes 1) this is very good value. The set comes with a few new cards for the DnD adventure board game series as well allow further use of the miniatures in those games.
The models are packaged safely with little risk of being damaged or bent in transit and are painted in a matching purple and gold colour scheme to a reasonable standard. The Copper Dragon and Earth Elemental minis are almost worth the price of admission by themselves
The game Dungeon Command itself is a fun change from regular DnD combat, forgoing dice rolls for tactics/resource management and clever use of the power cards to make and block attacks. I would recommend buying this set and one of the other faction packs (Dungeon Command: Tyranny of Goblins: A Dungeons & Dragons Expansion Pack ("Dungeons & Dragons" Miniatures) or Dungeon Command: Curse of Undeath: A Dungeons & Dragons Expansion Pack) to fully realise the game, as its more fun with more units available and cards to play.
You can even run the game with more then two players if you have more then one set, with either 2 players taking joint command of a single faction against a 3rd player - or as a 3 way free for all if you each have a set.
All in all a good purchase for fans of miniature board games, CCGs, DnD or those who just love Copper Dragons :)
for me the models are adquiately painted not mind blowing, but good,
the tiles are great and fit together nicely and the card art is of high quality
I look forward to future sets.
I'm tempted to buy 2 packs of the same set but don't think i'll push the boat out and just be patient for the newer factions,
