The O'Caha clan strikes again.!
Kennard O'Caha is an immortal druid wolf shifter, all rolled into 1 alpha badass biker package. He and 2 of his cousin's, twins Liam and Cillian have been on a mission, of hunting down the darker sorcerer Athol. But this mission has become something personal for Kennard who has been searching and battling him for the past several centuries. In fact he came so close to finishing this some 20 years ago, but for some unknown reason he couldn't kill him. But Kennard doesn't realize how personal this hunt is going to get.
Now he and the brothers have Athol trapped in a cave, ready to finish this once and for all, they go in. When reaching the end where Athol is they find him there chanting something, getting ready to do battle, Athol just disappears leaving a cloud of dust, and it doesn't sit too well with Kennard, but the brothers thinking that he is gone for good want to celebrate the only way these O'Caha man know best, shifting and having a good run, women and beer, and not in that order.
Maggie is a witch, but doesn't know it. She has been an outcast all her life, being branded Mad Maggie the witch and Mad Maggie the crazy girl who said she saw demons, when she was a child. She has also suffered with nightmares since she was a child of an evil man, an evil snake-headed man, she has kept her secrets from the town's people except for her best friend Maria. And when these 2 are not running their businesses they're out hunting evil to keep their town safe.
In the small lakeside town it's Bike Week again and with the overabundance of bikers arriving, only 1 has caught the red headed Maggie's eye, and it would seem she has caught his aswell.
The fire between these 2 heats up pretty quickly, as does the fight for survival.
As with all of Mandy M Roth's books you get a good dose of humour throughout, along with lust, love, romance and a great fight scene and scorching hot sexual content.
This can be read as a stand alone but I strongly advise that you start from the 1st book. And I recommend that if you need a hot story that's gonna heat you up on these cold winter nights then this is the book for you.
After a couple of centuries of hunting and chasing, Immortal Druid sorcerer and werewolf Kennard O'Caha, along with his twin cousins Liam and Cillian, has finally managed to trap and kill the evil Athol, but it seems too easy to Kennard. Something is niggling and he isn't sure that the dark sorcerer is really dead, but Liam and Cillian are and they all need some R&R. Pulled by a feeling he can't name, they head to the small town of Sandsville where Kennard had failed to kill Athol 23 years ago. Riding into town at the start of Bike Week and the Christmas in July festivities, they'll fit right in, but as they round the corner, Kenndard is compelled to look at the woman standing outside the Mystic Grounds Coffee Shop and then he can't get her out of his mind.
Alone all her life, except for her BFF Maria and her family of witches, 23 year old Maggie grew up in foster care, has scrimped, saved and worked hard to get her coffee shop and make it a success, despite having been ridiculed and abused most of her life. It's not really her fault she's haunted by a snake headed demon. Living on romance novels, plagued by nightmares and feeling more exhausted and drained every day, she and Maria spend their free time fighting evil and the demons trying to move into Sandsville. The combined Bike Week and Christmas in July bring in more business for the town but she's never really taken any notice of the newcomers, until she's compelled to stare at one of the bikers riding past.
I don't want to give any spoilers, but this action packed paranormal romance is written with Mandy's usual humour, some steam, bad guys to fight and of course, the happily ever after we all expect for true mates Kennard and Maggie, but there's a twist in the tail. I really couldn't put it down and absolutely loved it. I can't wait for the next one and hope it won't be long coming.
