Product Description

About the Author

Bestselling author Marni Mann knew she was going to be a writer since middle school. While other girls her age were daydreaming about teenage pop stars, Marni was fantasizing about penning her first novel. She crafts sexy, titillating stories that weave together her love of darkness, mystery, passion, and human emotions. A New Englander at heart, she now lives in Sarasota, Florida, with her husband and their two dogs, who have been characters in her books. When she’s not nose deep in her laptop, working on her next novel, she’s scouring for chocolate, sipping wine, traveling, or devouring fabulous books. Author Gia Riley has been in love with writing romance since high school when she took her very first creative writing class. From the small but mighty state of Delaware, she’s a country girl at heart, traveling back to her roots in Pennsylvania as often as she can. She’d rather pick truth than dare, bake than cook, and will always choose coffee over tea. Just like life, her stories always have a mixture of heart and humor.

This story just affected me in a huge way. It was very emotionally charged. Whilst being a story about the struggle for survival when everyday is a nightmare. It's a story about hope too, hope for a better future.

Andi is a woman in a difficult situation she feels trapped with no means of escape.
All she wants is to be happy and safe, but she's living her life scared and vulnerable.

Never knowing if today will be the day...the day she always has in the back of her mind her biggest fear might just happen. She needs to run and never look back.

Clay is running too, he's left everything behind the Man he used to be is gone. The job he loved is gone. He wants them back but has no idea how to do it.

A chance encounter might just be the best thing to happen to either of them. Two strangers both running, both trying to keep their heads above water and not let their pasts drown them. But things are never that simple, are they? Sometimes you can't run from your past because it'll always find you and drag you under.

Andi and Clay might just be exactly what the other needs.

This book was a page turner that's for sure. Well written and I just loved it so much.

Wow I loved this story. I read it in two evenings and the day in between I was thinking about it.

Clay and Andi are both broken. They've both been hurt in the past. When fate brings these two together they must hope that their love for each other can conquer all the obstacles thrown in their way.

This is a romantic suspense and so much more. I can't praise these authors enough on such a great story. For one mind to write something like this but for two minds to come together it's epic. Lots of angst and omg moments had my head in a spin.

Loved this story so much I'll be keeping on my kindle for a re read.

Drowning by Marni Mann and Gia Riley
4.5 stars!!!

“If I’ve learned anything, it’s that hollow apologies and empty promises hurt the most.”

Drowning is a book where the hero and heroine could have easily chosen a different path, could have easily given up, where life had thrown them more crap than they could handle and yet they both came out the other side. Battle scarred, emotionally wrecked, yet still breathing. Their different tragedies brought them together, but could the same ultimately tear them apart? When life seemingly has nothing left to give you and yet somehow gives you the greatest gift of all...love, a soul mate, someone who loves with every fibre of their being and who will go to the ends of the earth to protect you.

“I was just a guy delivering coffee, a guy who had a hat to give.”

Andi was a woman who was incredibly strong, both mentally and physically. Years of abuse at the hands of a man who claimed to love her. Physical and mental abuse had all left their scars, some more permanent than others, but she had managed to stay alive…just. Now on the brink of escape it seems life has more curveballs, more tests of strength but most of all resilience and perseverance. While this journey is tumultuous it makes Andi even stronger, but it also gives her one thing she so richly deserves…Clay.

“Like all the other marks that have graced my body, the pissed off blues and purples will eventually morph into a more serene yellow and green. It’s like my face is art class and I’m five years old again, trying to figure out how to blend basic primary colors to create new bolder combinations.

This story is very much the battle of two lost and broken souls trying their damnedest to stay afloat and stop themselves from going under.
It's the emotional romantic journey of Adrian (Clay) and Andi that's full of suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. I found it thrilling and engaging and will definitely read again. Both these authors are amazing and I'm a huge fan of theirs but together the book they've written is nothing short of magic! If you like romantic suspense then I highly recommend.

I received a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review. I don't often give a 5* because it has be perfect from all point and well this was ! Thank you Marni and Gia :)
Drowning is a fantastic story. You meet Andi and Clay. You know from the beginning Andi’s story but you have to wait a bit longer to get Clay but that is ok. The bond there have is so strong. It is a lovely romance full of suspense. I have to be honest I cried, yep, and you will do that is for sure!
