First of all, I'm a headphone and earphone hobbyist. I have or have had (sold/returned) just under 50 pairs, prices range £10-250, most of which are £50-200. In terms of IEMs, these are definitely one of the best I've heard (or maybe even THE best). My preference sound-wise is for a mix of audiophile and commercial. So plenty detail, good bass and musical. The Fidue A73 ticks the three of these boxes.

build - These are very attractive looking IEMS, fit great and are very comfy. All you need to know.

Sound - I use foam tips, cheap ones i got on Amazon UK which are prefect size and texture for me, better than Comply.

BASS - Lovely texture, quick and agile. Deep enough sub and punchy mid bass. Never dominant fits in perfect with rest of the frequencies. It is musical and accurate and moves between notes effortlessly. Never bleeds into mids. Drums have proper kick.

MIDS - Very detailed, but unlike other mid-fi hybrid sets which are highly detailed, the A73 keeps everything connected and not disjointed which lets everything sound coherent and musical. Lets you just enjoy the music. if you wanted to just listen out for micro details, replaying the same song over and over you will still be able to pick out little things you may not have heard before. Mids are slightly smooth but not thick. Vocals are wonderful, maybe it's best trait. They are euphoric at times, especially female vocals.

HIGHS - The A73 has definitely got the best treble I've heard yet in an IEM, even ones double it's price. It is very detailed and cymbals, ddrums, strings are all so accurate sounding with real sparkle. Some reviewers mention sibilance (harsh "s" sounds in vocals mainly). I have found this only on songs which are known for it and produced that way.

Used to have the Shure 215s, which are similarly priced so I’m comparing the Fidue vis-à-vis them.
Pros:
Noticeably better sound quality
Smartphone controls
Cons:
Over ear functionality is very cheap, a loose rubber frame that goes around the cables. Very uncomfortable and bulky, prone to falling off
Shabby build construction, they feel very plastic-y and the cable not sturdy at all
Overall:
Cable snagged and stopped working on one of the earphones. Rebought Shure 215s instead.

The A73's are a pair of IEM (In Ear Monitor) earphones with a two way hybrid design (there is a separate dynamic driver for bass and a balanced armature providing the treble and the mid range).

Fidue are a Chinese company specialising in the upper echelons of mid range and entry level high end audio products. Their release of the A83's in 2014 met with widespread praise amongst audiophiles and professional review sites alike, and have since gained a reputation for their value for money.

Quite simply you are paying merely for the product and not the huge advertising budget associated with their competitors, Fidue would rather their products speak for themselves.

PACKAGING & CONTENTS.
--------------------------------------
The FIDUE A73 earphones come supplied within a premium quality retail style thick cardboard box bearing an image of the A73's on the front and specification information in English, Chinese and German on the rear.

Inside the box the contents are well protected with a layer of foam on the base, a foam surround retaining the contents and a final rubberised foam layer on the top holding and displaying the ear pieces.

Alongside the earphones you will find a quality control certificate that is with the exception of the manufacturer date entirely in Chinese and a rigid clam shell style zip carry case. Stored within the carry case you will also find...

- A resealable clear plastic bag containing two silicone ear hooks.
- A resealable clear plastic bag containing a set of large single flange silicone buds, a set of small single flange silicone ear buds, a single set of double flange silicone buds and a plastic sprung loaded shirt clip.

Let me be clear, the sound quality of these earphones is superb. The major issue I have is with the very poor build quality of the cable and its attachment to the headphone jack. I use these earphones with my iPhone which I carry in my right trouser hip pocket. Within a few weeks (maybe sooner) of using these it became clear that any flexing of the cable attachment at the headphone jack would send a signal as if the cord control button had been pressed thus pausing/stopping whatever you are listening to. Alternatively, if I'm not listening to something at the time, it will activate Siri. Pressing the cord control button doesn't always restart the audio so I have to take the phone out of my pocket to restart it in the app I'm using. This is very frustrating.

The problems are now getting worse. First, the problem would occur when bending down to tie my shoelaces, then it extended to when climbing stairs and now simple walking on the flat is causing the sound interference as well as audio to cut out in the left earphone. These cable problems occur minimally (but do not stop completely) when carrying the phone in my hand i.e. when the cable isn't flexed by my hip flexing. Essentially, if I touch the cable at the headphone jack even lightly, the sound will stop or cut out in the left ear.

This is a huge problem, particularly given that this is an expensive pair of earphones by anyone's standards. If these problems hadn't occur, I would give these 4-5 stars because the sound quality was great when I first purchased them. However, having the audio turn off because you've had the audacity to move your leg is definitely not what I would consider a great design feature!
