About the Author

K. Bromberg was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated from University of California at San Diego with two bachelors—economics and political science—but always loved to write. K. Bromberg remains in Southern California with her husband and their three young children. When not writing or working her day job, she can be found playing ninjas or power rangers with her son, fixing the hair of her oldest daughter’s American girl doll, or doing ‘arts and crapts’ with her youngest daughter, or listening to any or all of them fight/whine/laugh at once. When she needs a break from the daily chaos, you can almost always find her with Kindle in hand, devouring the pages of a good book or mentally outlining her next set of characters. Driven is K. Bromberg’s first published novel and the first book in “The Driven Trilogy.”

I could not put this book down!! Totally hooked from start till finish and I absolutely loved it!
I happened across this read and I am so freaking glad that I did, it was a brilliant read!

I am completely smitten with Colton and Rylee and I can not wait to continue their story but first my review...

Driven delivered in so many ways. The writing was wonderful, the sexual tension was palpable and the pace made this a great slow build with enough character progression allowing the reader to connect on a personal level.

Colton Donavon aka 'Ace' is every woman's walking wet dream; a successful racing car driver and millionaire playboy. The son of a famous Hollywood movie director he has the world falling at his feet (or a blond bombshell or two hundred) but inside he is hiding a multitude of pain. He may be beautiful, successful and rich but there is a side to him that very few ever see...

When a childrens charity event throws these two young and emotionally baggage claiming souls together, neither could have predicted what was to follow as their two very different worlds, collide

Colton makes no reservations in telling Rylee he wants her in his bed, but with no promises of commitment, Rylee is scared to open her heart to the notorious womaniser because she knows it will end badly. Refusing to be inconsequential she throws up a wall in the safe hopes of keeping a distance - unfortunately, in doing so, she has become his greatest challenge yet, and with his persuasive charm and stellar bedroom skills, she knows it's only a matter of time before she succumbs to his every whim.

"I want to take my time with you, Rylee. I want to build you up nice and slow and sweet like you need. Push you to crash over that edge.

K. Bromberg’s debut novel, was my debut read by this author. Why why why has it taken me so long to read this series? WOW. My favourite trilogy ever, hands down! I read all three books over three nights and had work and the need for sleep not interfered, I would have read them even faster. I was sucked straight into the world of Rylee and Colton and didn’t want the race to ever end.

Driven is the introduction of Rylee and Colton, both charismatic and complex characters, scarred by events from their pasts and believing they had no futures. Rylee was sassy and confident on the outside, but inside she has the softest heart, she’s a mother hen and incredibly protective of the disadvantaged boys in her care, having a way of helping them cope with the traumas they’ve faced in their lives. Having worked for 11 years in a school for boys with Autism, this really reached out and tugged at my heart strings and made me cry for these boys, both the fictional ones and real ones I’d been privileged to encounter over the years. Colton is the proverbial bad boy. Handsome, cocky, arrogant and with a public persona as a champion racing driver he doesn’t lack for offers from women. Rylee is the first to walk away from him, making her a challenge.

This first book reeled me in, it made me care, it made me laugh, it made me hot under the collar, but most of all it had me rooting for this pair, screaming at Colton to deal with his issues and let Rylee in and for Rylee to see that under his bravado was another little lost broken boy that needed someone to fight for him. I sure would have. A fantastically worthy 5 star read!

After having had this on my kindle for a good few months, and with the release of Crashed, I thought I would make a start on the trilogy!

It did take me a while to get into Colton and Rylee. Not sure why though, I didn't gel with them and if I am being honest he was an ass!

I thought that Colton was an arrogant pig, his fame and fortune allowing him to be like that!

I loved Rylee's sassiness falling under his spell initially but then standing her ground with trying to resist him.

When he started to persue her, I was for her not getting sucked in, but clearly that was inevitable.

His past seems to determine what happens in his life, feels that he is not allowed to be happy.

They both love to help the boys at the House, he really does seem to care for them, and the boys love the attention.

I wanted her to see sense before she got really hurt but so many people rightly say 'love is blind' !!!

He has commitment issues, he tells us that, but when you think he is finally going to let her in, he turns into a cold calculating monster. But when is is attentive you can't ask for more. Poor Rylee so many mixed signals and feelings.

His assistant was a calculating bitch, I noticed Rylee picked her out straight away!

Her date with Colton on the beach was lovely, they seemed to be finally getting somewhere, so I was beyond shocked at the cliffhanger ending, thankfully I can start Fueled immediately!

Did enjoy the book after all, once I got used to Colton!

How can I put into words how much I loved this book without breaking the expletive rules!!!! It was soooo effing good that's how.

Rylee Thomas' introduction to Colton Donavan is anything but conventional. Having found herself stuck in an unusual situation, Rylee literally falls into the arms of Colton and under his spell.

Colton is arrogant and egotistical, a dangerous combination and while Rylee tries to resist his charms he focuses in on her like a heat seeking missile.

Rylee's role with Corporate Cares brings her even closer to Colton and before long her self imposed wall of resistance starts to weaken especially when she becomes aware of Colton's childhood troubles and commitment to the cause closest to her heart. Facing her own demons following an accident, Rylee opens up to Colton and hopes that with time he will reciprocate her trust. However, determined to denying his feelings for Rylee, Colton continues along his normal destructive relationship MO, a journey Rylee does not want to take with him.

This story is powerful, passionate, extremely hot and steamy and soooo frustrating. No sooner do Rylee and Colton make progress when their past drags them back again to the point where you want to scream at your Kindle!!!

This book ends on a cliffhanger but don't be put off, Fueled is primed and ready to feed your frustrations :)
