Although we did not visit all of the places named we did fit in a few. We made the journey from Calais to Aix-en-Provence with out Standard Poodle, taking a couple of days for the trip staying in hotels near Reims and Lyon. The GPS co-ordinates are spot on, however the descriptive notes for the directions are for your journey North to South which could cause some confusion if travelling without a sat-nav from South to North. The narrative descriptions of the locations and routes we visited were accurate. We especially liked Walk-18 - Mirmande and visited it in both directions . We travelled in October and managed to pick a good supply of Sloes at the side of the road whilst off the beaten track. A lot of thought and planning has gone into this book and if travelling with a dog is an essential guide to break up the journey will places of interest for man, woman and dog. My only criticism is that the simple map at the front showing the location of the walks relative to major towns and cities is inaccurate, especially those numbered from 7 to 17. For example walk 7 is shown as south of Reims on the map when in fact it is north of Reims. Walks 13, 14, and 15 are shown as south of Dijon when they are in fact north of Dijon. This is only mentioned so that you don't use the map as a route planner for your stops. Overall an excellent guide and would recommend it to all.
