This was a legendary album of Shadows-like instrumentals from the writer of the Tornados' 1962 No. 1 "Telstar", Joe Meek. Hard to get even in 1961 when it was released, and now long deleted on CD too, this disc contains an exceptionally good set from the period when the equally legendary producer Joe Meek was at his best. Contains all the original sleeve notes by "Robert Duke", one of Joe's many pseudonyms.

Tuneful twangy guitars are the feature of this instrumental album from the sixties! Slightly similar in style, on a few tracks, to The Shadows, but also with a sound of their own! Nice vintage "twang!"

I had this album when it was released in 1961 while at school among my huge collection of instrumental groups. The Outlaws at one stage featured a very young Ritchie Blackmore, although I'm not sure if he played on this album. I later foolishly sold the album to a schoolmate!!! to my eternal regret!!!

A great album of instrumentals. The outlaws were an under-rated band, featuring a very young Chas Hodges (of Chas and Dave fame). A real collectors item.

Great tunes and songs from Joe Meek and his resident band, good music will never die, Not the shadows but nearly as good.
