Star G640 is not the standalone product. It must be connected to a pc/laptop to work.
What type of interface you need for connection?
Your computer needs to have a USB Type-A port for the connection. If your computer only has Type-c ports, you need an adapter for the connection.
Driver Download and Installation Tips
Before installing the XP-PEN's driver, please remove other brand's driver from your computer and reboot, otherwise this might cause the conflict problems.
XP-PEN's driver will be regularly updated, so please go to our official web to download the newest driver, and install it on your computer.

Great tablet for on the go with my Mac

I use a Wacom tablet at work and was looking for a small tablet to use with my Mac laptop and have to say I have been very impressed with it from the offset.The Star G640 comes in a nice box and when you open it up is well presented and the product well made. The tiny tablet plugs into my Mac laptop via a micro usb-to-usb connection which is nice and long if you want to work at a distance, when first plugging it in the cursor was responsive straight away.Top tip for Mac users - even though it works straight away on plugging in you do need to download the Mac drivers to fully set-up and for the pen to really work when using applications like Photoshop.Overall I’m really impressed and this has now become my traveling companion inside my laptop bag.If you found this review useful, please click the helpful button.

I'm kind of torn on this review, for £39 it's a good price but on the other hand there are so many things that don't make this a pleasure to use.
Firstly the build quality feels very cheap, there are no bevelled edges to this tablet so it's hard on your hands. and t's actually very rough material on some of the edges. it feels like sandpaper, I could file my nails it's so rough.
See photo with comparison to my cheap £50 wacom one tablet.
secondly, the pen they've tried to mimic wacoms but it's just come as a really soft nib with too much movement. You press down and it doesn't acknowledge a press until you really press down. It's not quick to use.
Third, everytime you press the pen button the mouse pointer jumps about 5mm on the screen. Never seen that before.
Fourthly, no option to turn off windows ink in the drivers. so have to hunt around in windows to disable it, tried two other brands and they have driver options to turn it off.
Anyway, I have given it a few stars for being cheap and generally working but it's being returned. Will try another at a higher price or anothet brand and if that's similar will just go back to wacom that I know have a decent QA ,build quality and drivers
If your new to tablets highly recommend the wacom one, it's slightly more expensive but much better. the only down side is the pen is better for smaller hands which I find uncomfortable to use, hence why I'm looking for alternatives.
