I really liked this book. It gives clear pictures and descriptions of art work one could attempt, basic outlines to follow whilst firing the imaginative artist as well. A great little book

5.0 out of 5 stars I wish I had this book as a kid... 8 Mar. 2014

"Why ?" , you ask ....Indeed ---pray tell ! As a child of eight or so I hung out at the library always in search of any and all books dealing with ancient Egypt . Also I may add I was always drawing. I did a small mural of King Tut's tomb for my room. I did okay with it.
Imagine if I had this book ! I would have been in my glory!! And now I can still be in that glory and learning to draw like an Egyptian !
It is very informative and it is easy to do. This would be a great place to start if any of you out there---I mean the big kids (adults)
who always wanted to learn to draw but were too afraid to ask...let alone try...now try.
3.0 out of 5 stars Easy, often oversimplified, images can serve as a jumping off point. 4 Dec. 2013

Like so many 'learn to draw____' books out there it has a rather formulaic approach to drawing that has no relationship to actually learning to draw. Rather than trying to follow step by step go straight to the finished drawing and use that as a point of reference for exploration.
