Fantastical, readable, addict-able. The Dragon Oracles is an engaging read that captivates the imagination with simplistic lexical choice that is targeted to a wide range audience. The theme is a romance and a travel piece, where we follow the characters journey towards a goal with various obstacles. The duel narrative gives a sense of setting through various scenery which is a key factor in this book. We get a sense of the imaginary world through description that allows us to imagine the scene ourselves.

Even though vast in length, the book was quick and easy to read and not a single chapter was irrelevant or boring. The narrator took time to consider persona in the characters and voice when writing the duel narrative. It was an enjoyable read and it is great the narrator will follow on each book one after another in a sequence of series.

If I walked into a high street bookshop and took a chance on buying these, I would not be disappointed.

Truly epic fantasy of a type rarely seen in these post Game of Thrones "gritty realism" obsessed years, these books feature a world packed with dense lore, fantastic locations and a plethora of races, magic and mysticism.

The characters are well rounded, not always perfect and genuinely grow as their path takes them on a journey from a small isolated village to the court of the king. On the way they meet adversity, make deep bonds of friendship and face enemies that are surprisingly not your typical "big bad". If you like fantasy novels, this is a must buy

Characters are real whether it is a human wolf dragon or cren. lots of possibilities for a long series. the author says he read Jordan's wheel of time series twice. I think he may just have started his own wheel as there is lots of material to go for prequels and sequels. As a loing time fantasy reader, 40 years or so, well worth a read, try it and you shouldn't be disappointed.

I started reading The Dragon Oracles back in 2013, when the first chapters were posted on Wattpad. The fact that I am here writing this now, half a million words later, is testament to the power of the writing and story. This is unashamedly old-school fantasy: a band of travellers, a dark underground dungeon and mythical beasts, all leading up to a climatic battle. There is skill and thought in the world-building, too, and the stage is set for many more chronicles in the years to come.

This is another great epic fantasy. The story is new, exciting and detailed. You can get really involved in the characters' lives. I love the fact that T.J. Garrett is so involved in the promotion of his books. He seems a fun loving mischievous personality.

A tale of such an epic scale and yet one that has a lot of heart. The characters are immensely likable and the world in which it is set is stunningly detailed. Anyone wanting a big dose of fantasy should definitely get this.

I am enjoying the story, typical of its genre. However, has anyone else noticed the glaring errors that should have been picked up during the proof read (if it actually had one)? To instead of too, wild apostrophies, were instead of where; these kind of things are littered regularly through the text. I have also seen better rounded characters (see Robin Hobb for instance).

I'd still say it was a good buy for under £4 and so far at least, worth the reading time.
