5.0 out of 5 stars Draakk - Something has awoken 14 Nov. 2014
By Marianne Fiero - Published on Amazon.com

True horror at its best. At times the story had me shuddering due to the descriptions of what was going on. Granted I have a wild imagination, but mixed with the Author's method of story telling, made this story even better. At first I did not like the main character, but as the story continued I grew to respect and yes, to like him very much. He seemed very shallow and self centered at first but then the reader is given insights to his inner struggles with a love that did not die, but due to circumstances was pushed away due to mental illness of his partner. His struggles with guilt over leaving his daughter and then needing her to battle this horror with him, that was found in pretenses of science but rather as a weapon that back fired. We get to see how their relationship grows better and what a father will do for a child and for all humanity. Yes this is a horror story .... Good vs Evil.... and a very good one.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Gripping Read! 28 Feb. 2015

This story had every element a good story should have. An exciting plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. There's an abundance of well illustrated scenes that really make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that's something I really look for in a good book.

This absorbing and attention-grabbing work had me riveted from the beginning. The story flows from scene to scene effortlessly, and the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling.

It's one of those rare stories that come along that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I'm giving nothing away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery!

I'll certainly be looking forward to reading more from L.C. Frey in the future!
5.0 out of 5 stars Suspense Delivered with a punch. 18 April 2015

Many times you are reading a book and can tell where it's going to go. This one is so unique you won't be able to think of what will happen. The story engages you from the beginning and refuses to let go even after the final page. This little horror story will stick with you in ways you least expect! A must read for this genre!

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs to be edited something terrible. 25 Feb. 2015

One example: He man walked in the direction of the.

Funny how no one has mentioned this out of all the 5 star reviews.
I normally don't quit on a book due to poor editing, but I did on this one. Got tired of playing fill in the blank while trying to figure out what was being said.
It's to bad though seems like a great story.

My wife read this as I am not a non-fiction guy. She found it an okay book but a difficult read. Didn't care for the plot and found it slow at time and not keeping her interest. I gave it a three and not less because she was trying this category for the second time and the review would be based on limited experience.
