About the Author

Jens Mellies, Jahrgang '37, ist zum zweiten Mal verheiratet, hat vier Söhne und zehn Enkelkinder. Er ist Dipl.-Betriebswirt, hat zusätzlich Pädagogik und Psychologie studiert und ist in der Erwachsenenbildung tätig. Das erste Drittel seines Lebens hat er in Berlin verbracht, das zweite Drittel im Ruhrgebiet und lebt nun seit vielen Jahren in Süd-Baden. Diese drei Stationen haben ihn geprägt: Pragmatismus und Lebensfreude sind die wesentlichen Merkmale. Jetzt, da die berufliche Arbeit weniger wird, schreibt er auf was ihn bewegt und was davon andere Leute interessieren könnte fasst er in einem Buch zusammen und veröffentlicht es bei BoD. Bisher sind zwei Bücher über das Bogenschießen entstanden; an weiteren Projekten über andere Themen wird gearbeitet.
