This definitive package also contains extended mixes of the other singles from the album Only For Love, Too Much Trouble and Tar Beach as well as all the B-sides, more archive rarities and three previously unreleased demos from Limahl himself! One unmissable highlight is the French language version of Never Ending Story called LHistoire Sans Fin. Incredibly, Dont Suppose was the launch pad for the now celebrated record producer Tim Palmer who went on to work with such stellar talents as Pearl Jam, Robert Plant, David Bowies Tin Machine, Tears For Fears and The House Of Love. The other production collaborator on Limahls debut solo album was De Harris, then from the critically acclaimed new romantic band Fashion. This deluxe edition includes a richly illustrated 36 page CD booklet with an introduction from Limahl, an extended question and answer piece and the most comprehensive biography / career overview to date.

To my dismay it is the exact same remastered version that appeared on Gold Legion, so the glitch in "Oh Girl" remains. This sort of thing really winds me up. It's a minor issue, but an issue all the same. It's a real pity the mistake could not be corrected for this release.
Apart from this the bonus tracks are brilliant & plentiful, the packaging superb & there is an interview with Limahl within the booklet notes.
Another very minor gripe (me being very petty here) is that there are 3 demo's on disc 2 that were recorded after this album. Firstly it's great to hear them & to have them, but I personally would have kept them for a remastered reissue of the "Colour All My Days" album. That would have left room to fit a couple more tracks from singles that are missing.
Anyone that purchases the Kajagoogoo/Limahl 5 album box collection will notice that both the Limahl albums are not remastered, but there is no glitch on "Oh Girl".
Aurally creative, sparkling lyrics, and this album is an album that shows how the then technology and very fine production values married to great and powerful singing, had dramatically Changed for the better, the face of how we listened too, and heard music, was at a major turning point (some would largely disagree) 1984 was a bench mark year for polish and style.
This cd album is worth it!, Limahl gets a hard time from those who havnt really listened, it is unfair considering he is a genuinely good and great singer, and this has stood the test of time brilliantly. I dont know why this album charted lowly in late 84' it has it all and more! It is having a revival now, and it seems better appreciated now, thankfully.
I've just bought the new collectors edition, and it is very very good!
And it has lovely notes and pics in there and extra versions, the move in close 12 of 'only for love' would have been a bonus, but still it is really worth having is this.
Buy it, you'll love the shiny dance pop experience.
