Question. Can something be sweet and spicy all at once? The answer is, yes! At least when it comes to this tale. You know the deal - girl meets boy, girl gets pregnant, boy does a runner, girl meets hotter boy but has to resist.....that's pretty much what you get with this. But when the need to resist is no longer there - that's when the story picks up.

There are a number of twists and turns with this one, and a fair number of times when I just wanted to shake one of them. (Not telling who - #spoilers!). But overall, this was a really engaging storyline with believable characters.

An entertaining read.

Firstly this is a good book with a quite gentle story about Emma and her life for the past few years since she had to leave law school. She works for Jack and is passionately in love with him. Sparks fly and other men become embroiled. The story is well-written although there are some errors.
Suitable for adults due to sex scenes.

You know when a story is so good when you actually start thinking about it without realising, this happened to me when I was actually trying to go to sleep.! We'll done Stacey Lynn for another fabulous novel, I loved Jack he was so sincere and everything you could possibly want, powerful yet a little vulnerable too and so sexy add Emma into the mix and wow. I found it hard to put down and could not fault a thing about this book, like, Just one Song and Just one Week absolutely fantastic, if you liked This Man and Fifty Shades you will love this but this is a much more endearing read.
I love Stacey Lynn, she's the first one to introduce "Tap it Down" looking forward to more..!!

A typical romance with gazzilionaire Jack and pretty Emma who works for him. I imagined little Logan as the cute kide from Jerry Maguire! Logan's father re-appears and there is a good deal of toing-and-froing plus a bit of blackmail thrown in for good measure. I did find myself skimming when Jack was being all alpha male and not saying what was going on. Plots like that really annoy me! I hate men thinking a poor ickle woman couldn't cope with what the men get up to! But on the whole not bad.

Just as the title said I totally enjoyed reading this book. I am now looking forward to reading Try Me, and hope that Jack and Emma will make an appearance in it. I would like to know how they all get on.

I got this book as part of a bundle at a great reduced price.
So because I never paid full price for the book, I feel a bit of a fraud by giving it not the best rating, possible, but hey-ho!

Emma works for Jack - and has done for 5 years.
Jack is a successful millionaire (?) who took over his father's business some years previously.
Emma is his PA, housekeeper, chef - and the role suits her as she has a 5yo little boy called Logan. Emma started working for Jack when she was a few months pregnant, so Jack has been a father figure to Logan in his life.
For the last couple of years, Emma has held a bit of a candle in her feelings towards Jack - but feels like he is out of her league, and because they work close, there is an almost uncrossed line - the taboo of an employer/employee relationship and the exploitation of positions.
In any case, they do get close - then comes the angst element of the story. When Emma first found she was pregnant - her BF and father to Logan - Marcus - wanted to marry her, and on the eve of their elopement, his father the Senator stepped in and bribed Emma with $25k to abort the baby and leave Marcus. She took the money believing it was Marcus' wishes. In the meantime, the Senator tells Marcus that Emma asked him for money and that he should leave her. Marcus believes him and he never sees Emma again.....until Jack hires a hot shot lawyer to be on his team - step forward Marcus, back in Emma's life after 5 years. He knows nothing about Logan.
So Emma's dilemma (!) does she reveal all to Marcus, she absolutely hates the man for what he has done to her.
By now, Jack and Emma are embarking on a a relationship, so she tells him all.
