Erin has been given months to live and rather than sit at home surrounded by her grieving family waiting on the inevitable she has a plan, a plan for an adventure. To the horror of her family she puts an ad on Craiglist for a travel companion, she has very specific requirements because she doesn't want a nurse hovering over her what she wants is a friend to share in the fun she envisages, who she gets is Cade.
I love Erin she's funny, she's brave, she fearless, she's articulate even when in extreme pain she is still looking forward to the next experience. Cade has made a mess of his life with one mistake after another the job with Erin is meant to give him time to think and make plans for his future but he ends up experiencing so much more than he ever expected.
This is a stunning poignant book that is beautifully written, another hit from one of my favourite authors.
reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Erin, God where do I start with this strong and beautiful women. Her strength is what broke me (and gave me the strength to face my own issues that a very close to this subject) She is a tower of hope and has a zest for life that just is special. When Cade comes into her life before the main story you knew he was a special man although he has his own troubles he want to help.
Cade and Erin go on a great journey that is a whirlwind and is brilliant and amongst this story of hope where there is none. There is a story about needing to be saved. Saved from dying and saved from themselves and the situations they created.
This book was amazing and I can't recommend it enough. It a wow of a read and an ugly cry too. Enjoy is beautifully heartbreaking read.
Don’t hold back, is beautiful story of friendship, love, pain.
Erin finds out she is dying with only 6 months to live. She decides to put an ad in craigslist.
I'm Erin and this isn't your usual Craigslist Ad. I’m twenty-four, and full disclosure, I’m dying. But I don’t want your pity. What I want is your help. I’m not looking for a nanny, or for someone to hold my hand. I want a friend, a confidante, a partner in crime.
This book is such a roller coaster of a ride I laughed I cried I really connected with Erin I loved that even though she was in pain and knew she was dying she was so brave. She was still laughing and joking about things.
Cade life is a mess he needs to do something about it. I really liked Cade and he really did grow in the book.
This book is so well written you just feel the words and they touch your heart.
I admit I admired Erin's attitude. To see the places you want to see before you are too ill to appreciate it, with a total stranger! Brave.
Cade is a bit of a wet blanket with problems of his own to deal with.. at first. But what a perfect partner he is for this trip.
Lots of emotions ( as you would expect from Missy Johnson) in the pages of this book.
Well worth a read
