While I know the recipes will help you stay healthy, the book is a wasted opportunity and appears to be nothing more than a money grab.
Drink lots of water
Eat lots of green
Eat organic foods
I know it sounds like am hating on the guy. But am not Good on him for what his done. People have changed which is great. But this wasn't as educational I was hoping. Very basic
First of all, it works. I lost the weight.
Second, I was never hungry and I enjoyed every meal. (Of course it got boring, but it was doable with minor willpower.)
Third, I felt great and was always able to train properly.
I did a few naughty things like exchanging a few black coffees for Starbucks soy mochas when my weight was looking good but I almost 100% stuck to it.
The only thing I have to mention is that using the hot tub technique I lost those last lbs a lot slower that the book promised. Differs according to the person I guess, but just be aware of that.
To conclude, the book is brilliant. I dropped from 170 to 145 in three weeks to the day and didn't suffer except a little tiny bit on the morning of the weigh-in.
Oh, yeah. Finally. I didn't do the notes and diary. I know lots of people who do that stuff and it helps them, so do it if in doubt. Just not my thing.
It does. I've been a fan of Mike's work since the first living lean book and cookbook, and I have used the original 3 Weeks to Shredded with great success: But this is another level of detail presented in a fashion that is typical Mike Dolce, very motivating, informative and easy to read in a sitting but with plenty to re-visit and inform your weight loss around.I look forward to doing a test run of the new method for a local Jiu Jitsu tournament in a few weeks.
