Believe it or not the first 60% of this book has no recipes, it's all success stories for his previous books. Then the recipes he provides you are pretty bland. All good ingredients, but pretty bland meals.

While I know the recipes will help you stay healthy, the book is a wasted opportunity and appears to be nothing more than a money grab.

Where do I started, I bought the book to after speaking to friend. But when reading this, I was surprised at how much of this book was filled with people's story on how they changed. From being large to thin. Dolce bragging about him self, how his method worked. If you don't have any clue on nutrition then this is great. But for price you might as well go on YouTube check some video and save your dollars and pounds. Even spend that money on partner, which could lead to her or him thanking you in bed room. Which would be more rewarding than wasting your time on this. The reason I gave the score is because this book can be wrote in one paragraph:
Drink lots of water
Eat lots of green
Eat organic foods
I know it sounds like am hating on the guy. But am not Good on him for what his done. People have changed which is great. But this wasn't as educational I was hoping. Very basic

I resisted buying for a long time, mainly because of the silly, macho title and because I'd never missed weight. Still, I never cut more than 15lbs before and I always suffered. This time I cut 25lbs and wanted to do it right so I went ahead and gave it a go.

First of all, it works. I lost the weight.
Second, I was never hungry and I enjoyed every meal. (Of course it got boring, but it was doable with minor willpower.)
Third, I felt great and was always able to train properly.

I did a few naughty things like exchanging a few black coffees for Starbucks soy mochas when my weight was looking good but I almost 100% stuck to it.

The only thing I have to mention is that using the hot tub technique I lost those last lbs a lot slower that the book promised. Differs according to the person I guess, but just be aware of that.

To conclude, the book is brilliant. I dropped from 170 to 145 in three weeks to the day and didn't suffer except a little tiny bit on the morning of the weigh-in.

Oh, yeah. Finally. I didn't do the notes and diary. I know lots of people who do that stuff and it helps them, so do it if in doubt. Just not my thing.

In reality this is merely a glorified promotional leaflet. Dolce keeps telling us how good he is and has lots of testimonials to go with his claim. I was expecting more from someone who puts himself across as a master of weight cutting. There is nothing innovative or outstanding in the way he approaches the challenge of weight cutting and more to the point: he does not give us any explanation on what scientific evidence he uses to justify the methods he has chosen. Actually, most of the book is a self-indulging exercise. Unfortunately, Dolce proves to be yet another 'nutritionist' with great marketing skills but no substance. Dolce has considerable experience in cutting weight and at times he appears to be quite sensible too in the way he deals with his customers. But without a deep understanding in the science behind weight cutting he opens himself up for criticism. In his defence, Dolce is only exploiting a consumer weakness in looking for the 'magic' formula. Those who do not care much about substance, evidence based methods or validated knowledge might enjoy taking a little glimpse in the way many MMA fighters prepare to make weight.

I've been a Dolca fan for a while once I purchased this book i wasn't dissapointed. Mike is a sensible, realistic guy who sets out 'achievable' goals. If you cant succeed on this guidance its down to you and not the principles or the man. Recommended

Mike Dolce is the single best nutrition coach in all of sports. In no other realm does an athlete's weight count as much to their preparation as it does in Combat Sports, and Mike is renowned as the master weight cut strategist by the best of the best. so if Mike's methods work for the elite athlete, why can't it work for the everyday guy/girl?

It does. I've been a fan of Mike's work since the first living lean book and cookbook, and I have used the original 3 Weeks to Shredded with great success: But this is another level of detail presented in a fashion that is typical Mike Dolce, very motivating, informative and easy to read in a sitting but with plenty to re-visit and inform your weight loss around.I look forward to doing a test run of the new method for a local Jiu Jitsu tournament in a few weeks.

Expensive purchase. Despite following it to the letter I only lost 1lb in weight and 0.5% body fat. The meals were the same everyday for 3 weeks. Leaves you wretching come week 3 (except for the breakfast that was delicious). Con!!!

Dynamite book like everything else I've bought from Mike Dolce. Big fan of his methods and philosophies and this is perfect for students. Some ingredients not available in the uk but there are easy workarounds. Not just for students but anyone on a budget or short on time
