Fantastic little book, full of fun, no-nonsense recipes and snippets of doggy wisdom. Our two boys especially love the sardine and sweet potato bake, have to lift their dishes before they have a hole licked in the bottom of them. love the idea that, with some extra seasoning, the dishes are can be made for the owners also. Liking the illustrations throughout the book too. Have bought several for our local dog club, I know they will be very popular. Thank you Debora for the inspiration to venture into alternatives to mass produced dog foods.
I love this book. I’ve been cooking for my dog for a while now -cheaper and healthier for her and has stopped that pesky dry skin she use to get from kibble. This book is such fun and has some great recipes in it. The ‘doggy breath bone’ biscuits gets my dog from one side of the park over to me quicker than anything else. This is now a kitchen staple.
What a lovely little book - and so beautifully illustrated. The writing is warm and personable, with not just delicious recipes but many useful tips for the pooch lovers out there. Many of the recipes are suitable for all the family (not just your dogs). I, for one, intend to make the braised beef cheeks once the weather is a bit cooler. This book will be on my Christmas list for all my dog owning friends. I can't recommend it enough. Oh, and I just wanted to add that someone on here mentioned garlic as being bad for dogs - that is a popular misconception. In small doses garlic is very good for dogs. A dog would need to digest about 40 cloves of garlic to get ill. Go buy this book. It's a fun read and your dogs will love you for it!
