John Peel's great-looking hardback continues a tradition of lavishly illustrated and exhaustively researched collectors' books associated with Doctor Who. Peel is a fan first, and a writer second, and this comes across straightaway, as he chronicles all there is to know (and more) about the mythology behind The Doctor's race and their home planet. With a host of stills from the BBC archives, and reams of information about the Time Lords, this is a comprehensive guide to the foundations of the entire 'Whoniverse', and an essential unveiling of what is essentially the most comprehensive science fiction framework in the history of British television.

A good addition to a Doctor Who library although the origin of Rassilon and the death of Omega is a bit of the mark but interesting all the same to read other peoples interpretation of the Dr Who Cannon.
