In this episode, the rather sad ending of the previous episode is quickly turned around by some revelations and some quick thinking, and develops into a lively and interesting story, where the protagonists, pursued by the Doctor, arrive on a mediaeval world. I liked the idea that the enemies were believed to be demons and the Doctor and assistant were witches. The theme carried on and gave a good angle, and I suspect was realistic for the time. The aliens are really grotesque in character and looks, and enlisting peasant children as a workforce made them even more scary. The ending left me eager for the continuation.
