The first female incarnation of the Doctor takes to the TARDIS,eventually after the opening two episodes with the iconic time machine posted as missing for the opening instalments of this most divisive season in the show's 55 year history,And the Fan War rages on in cyberspace, the traditional fans of the classic show and the earlier series of the 2005 reboot seeking escapist sci-fi adventure free of identity politics, social political agendas, radical femenist&LGBTQUERTYGENDERXYZ propaganda against that has crept into the show in recent years,by fiat the viewer has been tenderised in the previous two or three series's to prepare suffering fans to be bludgeoning of extreme politically correct lecterus far left ideology's catering to millennial Tumblrine social justice warriors,SJW for short, who see injustice potentially lurking in every aspect of life that must be confronted and defeated vicariously through popular films and T.V. shows, video games, even comic strips. The micro aggressesed idealists's,the small but very loud minority of usually young"Woke"generation viewers who want every race, culture, every sexual orientation, every gender(all two of them but that's a subjective opinion these days)every colour being represented in the name of diversity at the expense of good entertaining coherent drama.Long time fans and new, young and old watching horrified as their favourite T.V. show,a huge part of some people lives I venture being morphed from action adventure sci-fi to complicated time travelling soap to,like the Star Wars franchise,an increasingly extreme left wing social justice mouthpiece with heavy handed morally and politically correct virtue signalling ultra left appeasing propaganda cast, crew and content. When the show came back with Christopher Eccleston then established itself with David Tennant's more substantive tenure .Doctor Who once again became essential family viewing,no mean feat in this day and age of movies and T.V. on demand, the endless amount of online entertainment the programme got people talking and eagerly awaiting each new episode to be broadcast, work places and schools buzzing and discussing the show,it was a winning formula, then things changed.Personally my head cannon has fired out every season since series 5,Matt Smith was to young I thought but as I was still eating my words as he proved more than capable of conveying the ancient protagonist but then the stories and tone of the show changed drastically,it became heavily reliant on a very complex series long story arcs, yes, there were story arcs in the Russel T Davies era but you did not require the skill set of Alan Turing to decipher them.Worse it became much more like a strange soap opera,as Doctor number 9 would say"Don't you dare make this domestic!"but new show runner Steven Moffat decided that baby's,births, weddings, couples breaking up placing the emphasis to"Will they, wont they?"more important than sci-fi and adventure. And then came the rise of SJWs,science denying, safe spaces and more genders than a Timelord could regenerate in to.Peter Capaldi could have, should have, made for a quite memorable Doctor, harking back to the classic series but not unlike sixth Doctor Colin Baker the producers squandered obvious talent by drastic and jarring character changes from intense, cynical, sometimes unlikable and dangerous portrayal to a baffoon going through a mid-life crisis with an electric guitar and shades...sonic shades. And now SJW....Starring Jodie Whittaker..?..a fine actress...actor...sorry,my trigger finger slipped...but lacking truly authentic quirkiness, she really has to reach for it,sorry, but feels and and looks forced, fifth Doctor Peter Davidson lacked the natural eccentricities of his predecessors Tom Baker,Pertwee,Troughton&Hartnell and he knew it and didn't even try, creating a new more energetic incarnation rather than trying to ape what came naturally to those who came before.Jodie Whittaker has to really try to look wacky but you can see her acting,it's not coming naturally at all.And the BBCs diversity quotas targets are on show in a staggeringly inaccurate display of pandering to political correctness,a quota filing multi cultural politically correct line up,all boxes ticked. And how!
Episode one...The Girl Who fell to Earth:
10 million curious viewers tune in to see the first female Doctor do battle with a Predator Knock off with a guy in a suit with a blue face who leaves ta tooth of his victims pressed into his visage,a boring uninspired hotch potch of lazily borrowed plots@antagonists.....truly the work of a hack and a female Doctor trying natural quirkyness despite lacking such qualities.
Episode 2:The Ghost Monument.Part 2 and Chris Chibnall begins to start to suffer from burnout, well, the first episode was a full hour long, but it gave the show runner a chance to score"Woke"points for feminists,SJWs,at one point Ryan literally being turned into an NCP as he uses his talent for shoot em up video games to destroy killer robots who can't aim their weapons with spaceships that follow fleeing people slower than human running speed.
Episode 3....Rosa...I'll need to watch this again
Episode 4.....Arachnids in the UK...I thought the social comentarry of Rosa would be on the nose but I had warnings and suspicious....nothing prepared me for the most inept satire seen on T.V.,bare with me,will update.....good lord!
