True love doesn't recognise class divides but 'it is a truth universally acknowledged' that lovers from different sides of the tracks make for a great story... Brianna and Mitch go through every trial and every tribulation the author can throw at them and - even though the outcome is absolutely as it should be - the journey there is immensely readable. Mitch, the ex-army trauma doctor is handsome, fierce and fearless and Brianna doesn't take any prisoners either, although she does have to learn to come off her high horse, in time-honoured tradition. This is a great story, well told, and it doesn't even put me off that the heroine is named after a range of salad dressings. (My favourite salad dressings, I hasten to add!)

Well, not being a previous chick lit fan, I was quite skeptical when a friend recommended this book. But, I was pleasantly surprised! It is one of those books that you do not want to put down, as the characters and flow of the story make you want to know what happens..... I shall be interested to see what this talented author gives us next! A fab book to take on holiday and allow you to lose yourself in a story you'd like to be part of!

For me, this was a more serious read than the cover suggested it would be, but that was good because I thought the author portrayed the characters' emotions and insecurities extremely well. We really get a sense of why Mitch and Brianna act and feel the way they do, and root for things to work out between them. The medical background is very authentic and engaging too - it gives us an insight into Mitch's character and life without ever overshadowing the developing romance. I loved the way both Mitch and Brianna grew during the story. A sizzling, heartfelt romance.

Excellent book. Would recommend time and time again to all of my friends. I was introduced to kathryn's work via her son harry and i can wholeheartedly say it is nothing short of a masterpiece. It has touched me in ways that i never thought possible. This book has inspired me to continue on my quest for love no matter what the barriers may be. Thank you again Kathryn.
