This book had me laughing out loud in places and all the way through a smile was on my face. If you like romance with a dose of comedy then this is definitely the book for you. I fell in love with the main characters instatntly but the siblings too were great and I am off to see if the author has written more books about this family!!
However, I found myself about two thirds of the way through the book saying to myself "so, when is the plot going to actually begin?" and then when towards the very end, it did indeed get going - to be honest by this time, I found the heroine to be weak willed and the hero to be overbearing and conceited.
I like to have a good dose of tension in any romance I read but every time there was an opportunity for that tension to build, the heroine just gave up - which left me wishing I gave up on the book!
SPOILER ALERT: I did not like that he tricked her in to marrying him. Everyone else knew it was real but her, and that's not how a girl wants her wedding day. Clearly she forgave him for that, but still. And I know that he was ultimately left with few choices since he got himself in to quite the pickle with his relationship tactics, but there were still other ways he could have gone about a proposal. I know that after the marriage, these novels wrap up real quick, but she forgave him pretty quickly and it was pretty unbelievable that she was convinced with just a simple "I love you" that he actually loved her and wasn't just playing her since he had been using terms of endearment throughout the whole deal. It would take more than hot sex to thoroughly convince me that I was no longer being toyed with, but with a flick of the switch she was on board with it. I don't know, I think it could have done with more convincing there in the end. Other than the abrupt ending, I thought the story was amazing and I LOVED Dizzy.
