I have always been a fan of Floyd Gottfredson's Mickey Mouse and hoped that some day somebody would publish all the adventure strips he made in a chronologically order in the original format (well, OK, in this book they are printed in a smaller size than originals). Now it has finally happened. Gottfredson's Mickey Mouse is in every way as fun as Carl Barks' Donald Duck and shouldn't be forgetted. As a bonus, there are also some background articles. I recommend this book and the whole series to every fan of comics. Fine storytelling and great graphics.

I expected more of actual character art and there is only one chapter devoted to that at the beginning and at the end. Basically it is full of old comic strips with Mickey Mouse :)

As much as I love the Mickey dailys this book is what Ive been waiting for. Most of it is of the one page gags, which I prefer but there are some longer stories too which are very enjoyable as well. Dare we hope that they will bring out the Sundays of Al Telliaferro`s Donald Duck?
