Disney pixar is always fun what ever your age! My younger brothers play it, my girlfreind plays it excessively and if im under oath ill even admit to picking up the control and guiding the movie characters round the levels, but Wall-e was different it lacked everything that makes a god transission from movie to game.

The game itself follows the movies path, you guide Wall-e and some times Eve throught the levels. Its relatively easy, the graphics are ok but the gameplay is often slow, with poor camera angles and numerous glitches that find you stuck or between walls that just leaves you frustrated.the levels are often too complex for younger players.

The game was poor at best, it lacked that spark and its game play was a let down. The Movie was great so i suggest you buy that the game howvere is barely rentable i definatly wouldnt bother purchasing it if i were you! sadly im not and i have purchased it and its gathering dust on the shelf!

I Bought this for my two Grandsons, based on the feature film Wall-E, they can control the movements of the little robot, and have to complete various tasks, he is an older model robot left behind on a polluted earth and his only goal is trying to clean it up. after a few levels he meets up with an ultra modern robot called Eve, who finds him strange but fascinating. and so the journey begins to save the planet. As the game goes on the tasks become more difficult. and can be a little tricky, so I join in my self to help out.
This is a well thought out game, with good visual scenes/graphics and audio from the same movie.
It can keep the kids occupied for hours if you let them. Try getting them to switch off.

Note. I would advise watching the movie with the kids first, very enjoyable sad and funny. then they will have a better understanding of the game.

What the chuff??? I am a MASSIVE fan of Wall E (The movie) it was funny, brilliantly written, had some eye popping visuals and was an all round joy of an experience. Then we get this pile of poop! If ever there was a money grabbing cash in on a great movie's coat tails then this is it.

It's boring, head bangingly repetative, the graphics are like something from a Sega Maga drive (Honestly, Sonic the Hedgehog looked better). The sound, oh Lord the sound, think the old "pong" games where you had 2 oblong bars and a tiny square ball and you had to play tennis type games on your TV. That is how mesmorisingly poor the sound effects are in this game. I expected to hear some hilarious Wall E sound effects but no, you get the occasional squeak or buzz from him and that's your lot.

The gameplay is all the same, you bounce from one level to the next and everything seems the same, nothing changes. And in some parts the difficulty of the game, considering that it's aimed at children as well as adults is unreal.
The very first level where you have to guide this slow and useless little spud up ladders and balance beams had me tearing my hair out in clumps, One slip, one missed jump and you have to do it all over again, how they expect a 5 or 6 year old to do this is beyond me.

Then there's the camera angles, most of the time, you just line yourself up for an awkward jump and for no reason, the camera flips round 80 degrees and your jump fails, because with the camera angle being different, so are the control angles, so instead of pushing left, you need to push right. On some occasions when you are too close to an object or a wall, the camera zooms backwards leaving you trying to do an awkward manoeuvre whilst you are staring at a brick wall or a lump of pixelised rock.

Bought this title a few weeks ago and completed it in a couple of nights, once I mastered the controls.

The characters are fine and my kids love the game. They are 3-5 years so I think they are the ideal age group for this game. They don't have a problem working the game out and thoroughly enjoy (nag) playing the game.

The visual aspects are disappointing considering it is a PS3 game, but the sound track is quite addictive. Game play can get a bit repetitive as you find yourself working through the challanges and collect items or shoot things. You get to operate Wall-E, EVE or both and the motion seems generally smooth. There are some irritating parts of the action where you get stuck due to poor rendering and end up not seeing what is happening due to the messages on the screen.

I think at £15 or less this game is okay value, at the original price it is very poor value.

Recommend you rent it for a couple of weeks and then give it back, or buy it and then sell it when you have solved the game.

Brilliant!!! My 10-year old loves it and also do I, a mum in my 40ies...Wall-E plays like a remote car. - I didn't expected it!!! As we don't have the facilities for long-distance remotes. I must admit initially I felt a little bit biassed, as I expected in the begin a deserted Earth full of trash and loneliness. But zooming Wall-E around over different kinds of obstacles, racing tracks, slippery surfaces, swinging/breaking apart bridges...throwing compacted cubes... it is a lot of more fun than I thought. I can recommend it, particularly if you don't want your kid drifting off too early in those shooting games, that are unfortunately too plentiful around for the PS3. 8/10 for me...
