The toy comes in one of those irritating boxes where you have to untwist lots of pieces of plastic covered wire to get the toy out of the box. Just as you think you have finally freed the toy, there is another evil wire, twisted somewhere around the back of the toy that you didn't see. All the time that I was struggling with this, I was being heckled and jeered by three noisy kids, who all wanted to get their grubby hands on the new toy. Weirdly, the tail is seperate to the main body of the dinosaur, and also has to be freed from the box, before attaching to the main body. This is pretty easily done, as the tail simply stwists onto the body, but you have to make sure you do it the right way up, as my small son reminded me, when I attached the tail upside down!

As a representation of Rex from the movie, I really can't fault this toy at all. Even the fact that his tail can be unscrewed is true to a scene in TS3, when the toddlers get hold of Rex and pull off his tail. He is to perfect scale with our other Toy story toys, and I am hoping, when I have enough time on my hands, to try and use the toys to recreate the first scene in Toy story 1, when Andy is playing with the toys in his room. I got the idea watching a video on youtube that someone has done, and it looked really good. They used the actual toys and played the scene against the soundtrack from the film. The kids are really keen to do it too, so it may be a good school holiday project!

The toy does not have batteries, so cannot walk along by itself, but it is poseable, and several parts of the body can be moved, such as the legs, neck and arms. The tiny arms are made from a diferent type of plastic to the hard plastic that makes up the body of the dinosaur.

To be perfectly honest it is not worth the £[] price tag, Very dissappointing. It is made of durable plastic and I think it should not cost more the £20 tops. Also there was no certificate of Authenticity unlike other Toy Story charaters I have purchased in the past in the same price bracket.

Would not recommend at all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy for fans of toy story 23 Feb. 2010

My kid loves this Rex & has had so much fun playing with it. It is very durable because my kid is rough on things & this is one tough dinosaur. If your kid loves toy story or t-rex in general, they would love Rex!

5.0 out of 5 stars Childhood Complete 13 Oct. 2011
By Starkey - Published on Amazon.com
Holy crap. This thing is legit. I feel like someone literally went into the Toy Story universe, stole this toy from *SPOILER* that little girl at the end, and then FedEx'd it to me. I was sitting around the other day eating Pop Tarts and drinking Propel when I realized, "I'm an adult and I can buy whatever I want." Naturally what I wanted was Rex from Toy Story 1, 2, AND 3! This isn't like the RC Car character or Miss Bo Peep. This dude made it through ALL the movies, and now he's sitting by my side sipping some grape Propel and munchin' on some Wild Berry Pop Tarts. I was disappointed to find Andy's name not on the bottom of his foot, but ain't nothing a little sharpie can't fix.

To you nay-sayers claiming the tail comes off, check it:

That is CANON! I'd be mad if it didn't come off when I rode it like a miniature horse (which I did, almost immediately).
