This was a gift for my son who's collecting the Cars 2 toys. He has most of them now. He's very keen to have the lot.

Seller was quick on delivery. Would reuse.

HASH(0x95a85048) out of 5 stars Grem (one of Professor Z's henchmen) & American spy, Rod "Torque" Redline (after he's wrecked!) 25 Mar. 2013
By Grandma Zizzy - Published on Amazon.com
My husband and I started collecting Cars 2 singles for our grandson when he became a Cars fanatic shortly before his 4th birthday, but we couldn't find Grem ("numbered" single #13) by himself, so we ended up getting this 2 pack with a damaged Rod "Torque" Redline instead. Grem is one of the evil Professor Z's henchmen! He and his cohort, Acer, chase Mater around the globe during the 3-country World Grand Prix, thinking he's an American spy who's stolen info about their plot to sabotage the race. Designed as a rusty old orange 1974 AMC Gremlin (where he gets his name), his license plate says "WREKD", which is certainly appropriate! Rod Torque Redline is the American spy who's a master of disguise, and the one who passes off to Mater info about the plot to sabotage the World Grand Prix, right before he's nabbed by Grem & Acer, taken to Professor Z, filled up with Allinol, and then explodes when hit with an electro magnetic pulse! He's designed as a dark blue "muscle car" (a cross between a 2005 Ford Mustang GT and a Dodge Challenger R/T), and is really sharp looking, even in his "damaged" condition!

10/7/15 Update: I'm adding the following couple of paragraphs strictly for the benefit of anyone considering starting a collection - don't spend any time on them if you're only looking for one or two of these diecasts. When we started collecting Mattel's Cars 2 1:55 scale diecasts for our oldest grandson in early 2012, there were SO many choices when it came to singles... 50 "numbered" packages (along with 14 "Deluxe" numbered packages), "Lights & Sounds", "Pit Stop Launchers", cars with "synthetic rubber tires" or "metallic finish"... and multi-packs to boot! We were completely overwhelmed and confused. Ended up deciding to stick with the "numbered" packages (probably a bit naive since - at least at that time - we might've found some better deals with the 2/3/4/5/7/10 or 12 packs, but you have to have a strategy if you go that route since there are so many duplications), along with the Super Chase models. Then in November of that year, they started coming out with a bunch THEMED series, "lenticular" singles, etc... it's so easy to spend a small fortune (and we did!), so I'm glad we at least set the parameters for our collection early on before we got too sidetracked (and spent our retirement funds!) We've had a couple of more grandsons since then, so we really feel it's been money well spent given the high level of durability of these small models and the enjoyment they get out of playing with them. There are so many ways to collect, and obviously the more recent the releases, the more readily available (and more reasonable) you'll find them.

For anyone who might be interested in knowing what those original "numbered" singles packages were, here's the (very long) list: 1) Race Team Mater, 2) Finn McMissile, 3) Lightning McQueen with Racing Wheels, 4) Francesco Bernoulli, 5) Holley Shiftwell, 6) Professor Z, 7) Jeff Gorvette, 8) Carla Veloso, 9) Raoul CaRoule, 10&11 (together) Race Team Luigi & Race Team Guido, 12) Acer, 13) Grem, 14) Race Team Fillmore, 15) Race Team Sarge, 16) Rod Torque Redline, 17) Miles Axlerod, 18) Petrov Trunkov, 19) Hydraulic Ramone, 20) Nigel Gearsley, 21) Max Schnell, 22) Shu Todoroki, 23) Miguel Camino, 24) Lewis Hamilton, 25) Carlo Maserati, 26) Hudson Hornet Piston Cup Lightning McQueen, 27) Mel Dorado, 28) Vladimir Trunkov, 29) Radiator Springs Ramone, 30) Victor H., 31) Don Crumlin, 32) Officer Murakarmi, 33) Becky Wheelin, 34) Acer with Torch, 35) Kabuto, 36) Rip Clutchgoneski, 37) Bindo, 38) Celine Dephare, 39) Erik Laneley, 40) Cartney Brakin, 41) Galloping Geargrinder, 42) Prince Wheeliam, 43) Otis, 44) Suki, 45) Alex Vandel, 46) Nick Cartone, 47) Fabrizio, 48) Alexander Hugo with Party Hat, 49) Mary Esgocar, 50) Sir Harley Gassup. The DELUXE models were 1) Submarine Finn McMissile, 2) Holley Shiftwell with Wings, 3) Red, 4) Double Decker Bus, 5) Kingpin Nobunaga, 6) Hydrofoil Finn McMissile, 7) Pinion Tanaka, 8) Pope Pinion IV, 9) The Popemobile, 10) The Queen, 11) Kimura Kaizo, 12) Funny Car Mater, 13) Taco Truck Mater, 14) Taia Decotura.

It provides hours and hours of fun. No end to the adventures. It helps kids use their imagination and not only repeat scenes from the movie, but also come up with new fun adventures.
