This is the third book of this kind by the wonderful "Disney" Author Jason Surell & the difference here is that whilst his first two offerings focused on only a single attraction (and movie) this one features a whole number of classic Disney Attractions. It's this reason that I've only awarded this 4 Stars and not 5, more to follow on this shortly.

First up, Surrell is perfect for this kind of job. He's been involved with a host of Disney Experiences working for Walt Disney Entertainment but it's easy to tell that underneath his day job he appears to be just like millions of other fans of the Disney Theme Parks.

This book focuses on Disney's "Mountain Range" - from the famous ones such as Space & Big Thunder Mountain to the not quite so well known Grizzly Peak & Mount Prometheus. It's truly a fascinating glimpse into how each attraction started out through to the actual completion of each "Mountain" although the more popular attractions understandably get more pages devoted to them than the rest. For example the Matterhorn & Space Mountain get around 25 pages of photo's, artwork, text etc where as the Tokyo Disney Sea Attraction only gets 4 pages. I did find this dissapointing as it's the lesser known rides that you aren't quite so familiar with and subsequently would enjoy reading about. In all fairness to Surrell however the format of the book is generally limited to that of his previous offerings so I guess he only had so much "space" to work with so to speak.

The stuff that is contained within the book is pretty much a Disney fans dream. Seldom heard tales of Walt & the key Imagineers, rare photograph's & artwork although I did think that the inclusion of a few more revealing photo's would have added to the whole "Behind the Scenes" Nature of the book.

If so this one's for you. A book dedicated to how the famous disney theme parks got there so called magic mountains.
These mountains over the years have been cover stories for disney theme park attractions, namely roller coasters such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain and Everest. All of these mountains have been man made and constructed by disney men and women called imagineers, but look very real. See how the magic is created.
Great price and arrived on time and in excellent condition.
