5 stars!

Dirty Lies is a standalone but has two books in the series prior to it with interconnected characters. You do not need to read Dirty Secret or Dirty Past to enjoy this story but I would recommend it as it enhances the enjoyment of this story immensely.

Jessie is a strong heroine in her own right, she has just broken up with her ex and her mindset is not aimed at getting another man but oh man, Aidan!!

Aidan may look quiet and reserved but that totally does not sum up his true nature. He’s a hot, sexy and dirty alpha male who knows that he wants Jessie.

The premise of the book starts with Marc, the Dirty B’s manager wanting the boys namely Kye and Aidan to stay out of the limelight now that Tate and Conner have settled down. Aidan ends up dating Jessie (fake girlfriend) to make it look like he was settled.

They both fight the bond that they have as they fall deeper and deeper into the lie, but sometimes lies are made to last.

“I fell in love with my lie.”

I adore this quote, it shows that not all lies are a bad thing; sometimes lies can blossom into a beautiful new beginning.

The sass level in the book is high and I love it! I adore Mila and her constant ‘Dollar’ pipe up through one particular scene. She must be the richest 2 year old ever! She’s a breath of fresh air and I adore her, she steals every scene she is in. She dotes on her uncle and wraps them around her little fingers, so sassy but cute.

Jessie is one of those characters I love, she knows her own mind but she is not in any way prepared for the enigma that is Aidan. He steals her attention and pulls her into a lie that she didn’t want but isn’t totally against it.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love these Burke boys... What I never expected though was for Aidan to be my favourite, that could all change with Kye but the way I see it is they are twins so they can both be my favourite if it comes down to it!

I was so hooked by this story, Aidan and Jessie are simply explosive! Their emotions leap off the page and wrap around you until you can't help but feel their pain, joy, sadness etc and more than once I was talking to my kindle like they could hear me! Their banter had me crying with laughter, Jessie has a brilliant sense of humour that can actually be described as evil sometimes and Aidan likes to wind her up until it's dangerous for his health ;) Aidan really isn't what I expected, he surprised me in ways that I didn't really expect any of the Burke boys to, least of all him, both Ads and Jessie discover who they really are and wow their journey is something else!

As you would expect you get to see all the Burke family which includes Sofie and Ella. I've got to mention Mila here... That little girl has become more hilarious as the series has gone on and more often than not she has me bursting with laughter, she's just that kind of adorably cheeky kid that when you know you're supposed to keep a straight face you just can't help but laugh, honestly I can't say I blame ANY of them for spoiling her the way they do!

Another heart pounding, jaw dropping story! Thank you Emma :)

Ah, I have a major thing for rockstar romances... Tattooed rockstar (drummer), with slightly sluttish tendencies, ends up in a fake relationship with someone he's known from high-school... Safe to say that Dirty Lies was no exception!
I really enjoyed the book. I liked that it was written in dual POV, I loved the banter between the characters, I enjoyed how their relationship evolved, I loved the secondary characters... In fact, the only thing I didn't love - and it cost it a 'star' - was how bloody long it took Aidan and Jessie to cut the s*** and admit they were it for each other! It created too much unnecessary angst and drama which detracted from a story which was otherwise great fun.
Never-the-less, I recommend it to all fake relationship / friends to lovers / rockstar romance fans!

This author / series had been on my TBR radar for a while and I'm now hooked! Lead me onto the next one!

(Or more accurately off to the beginning for the series for this is book 3, but don't worry you don't need to have read the others to read and enjoy as they are inter-connected stand-alones...)

This, the next much anticipated instalment in the Burke Brothers books, continues in the same vein as its predecessors. It's fast paced, sassy, tender & hot - in fact everything you have come to know and expect from an Emma Hart novel.
Loved this, can't wait for Kye!
