Very useful and extremely detailed. As a complete beginner to being a company director this is a very heavy read, but has proved invaluable in my new business venture with seasoned and senior directors and has helped me realise when they've tried to "pull the wool over my eyes."
Couldn't have survived without it.
One word of a disclaimer, though. I have never had any other training or read any other books on this subject.

Very practical guide for anyone who is serious about being a director and leading a company in the UK.
It is very well written with a practical approach (compare to an academics one).
I would also recommend this book for non-executive directors.
The book goes well into details about the role, responsibilities and involvement of the directors.
All in all, I learn a lot from this book and it definitely help me in being a director of two companies.

A clear and logical format, easy to read. This book presents the role of a director from a practical rather than academic viewpoint. It is concise and to the point in its treatment of introductory company law, directors' duties, corporate governance and securties regulation. I use this book to supplement mainstream company law and corporate governance texts, while preparing material for my lectures. I found it to be of good value for money.

This book does provides exactly what it pertains to. Valuable resource, well written and not nearly as 'dry' as you might imagine!

Useful, but does not really go into enough specific details of what to do and not do. A bit pricy for what it is.
