I can not complain. It takes some time to understand how to set it I nearly gave up but persisted and in the
end I got it done and it's now on my desk all the way from HONG KONG.
You can set it to 24 hour or 12 hour which ever you like so I have left mine set on 12 hour.
Oh, The instructions are on a small sheet of paper and you need a microscope to read them
nearly, which is one of the reasons I only gave it three stars and the other,
I still have it on my desk and it is still keeping good time since I set it just after I got it so it is at least a good time keeper.
I'm not too concerned about the thermometer feature - however it does seem to be indicating temperatures a few degrees higher than they actually feel in my home (eg. "19C" on a very cold winter morning, with no heating on in the kitchen!)
To set the clock and calendar you have to guess what to do - since the instructions supplied with it didn't seem to make much sense at all - and this can be quite a faff.. (Update: This is now an issue to me as, having had the clock a few months I note that, as others have pointed out, it gains about 1 minute per week.. I suppose I'm getting better at working out how to re-set it - but because of this issue I don't think I'd purchase this item again.)
The calendar is US-style, month then day, but that is not a problem to me. The clock comes ready supplied with a button cell battery - a thin strip of clear plastic has to be peeled from the battery compartment before it will work.
I paid an extra £1 to get one that was dispatched from the UK (though that option was no longer available the last time I looked).
In many ways it's "not bad for the price" - the large easy-to-read display is a plus point - but - I increasingly find that the lack of synchronisation with other clocks in my home, and then having to re-set this clock, is a bother. Also when picking it up it's easy to accidentally press a button on the back, which means the display clears, and....it needs re-setting again!
[Edit: April 2015 - the battery has just conked out after about 18 months - so the entire clock has gone in the bin... ]:
