I really enjoyed reading this book. Sofie Sandell presents original ideas on how digital media can help leaders stand out as thought leaders.

Sofie also challenges the idea that only some people are creative. She shows how we can all be creative and how, as a leader or manager, you can help your team be more creative or manage a team of creatives.

We're all more or less used to the digital world now, and Sofie shows how leaders, companies and individuals can step it up.

The book is accessible and easy to read. It is broken up into clear chapters and the core ideas are highlighted throughout the book.

I was not in a hurry to read this book when I got it, but when I got started, I found it hard to drop. The author (Sofie Sandell) has taken time to understand what being a Digital Leader in today's business world is all about, and has put it all down in writing.

I particularly like the aspect where she talks about the importance of coming up with creative ideas for your business and also allowing those working with/for you to have to freedom to be creative. If you run a business and are looking for creative ways to upscale your services through new ideas, then this book will help you achieve that.

I agree with what she says about responding to ideas this a "yes, and..." manner, rather than a "yes, but..." manner, because the former encourages more ideas to come forth while the latter discourages it. This does not mean one must lose control of what his/her organisation, but rather allowing people who share the same vision to creatively help the organisation/business grow.

Good book to read. I'm glad I did.

In her book, Sofie Sandell manages to depict the digital age in a way that everyone can understand it. The book is not full of technical terms, so that rookies of social media and Web 2.0 can fully grasp the problems of digital leadership and see what it takes to be successful. Moreover, she manages illustrate her concept of digital leadership beautifully with examples of good and bad approaches around the Internet and the needed innovation.

If you are looking for a good portrayal of social media use for innovation and leadership Sofie Sandell's book is definitely a must read. The book is not too theoretical and it summarises the topic very clearly. Sofie Sandell has created a compact book that gets to the point - an essential thing that many books about the Internet and Web 2.0 are missing!

The book really is something for everyone because when it comes to our appearance online, everyone can improve something. Not only is the book especially useful for company employees and managers, but also very effective for the personal use.

What I like about "Digital Leadership" is its clear style of communication. "Digital Leadership" is designed and indeed very effective to inform and to inspire action. "Digital Leadership" not only brings the reader up-to-date with the digital media, but also shows the importance of embracing and using it effectively. It's written in a simple and practical language that makes reading it a joyful doddle.

It's also unique in combining creativity, innovation and leadership with the digital tools that bring new opportunities and new dimensions to our day-to-day interactions with our target market. Sofie Sandell has remarkably succeeded to show us how this combination can create better ideas, more effective relationships and faster growth.

I highly recommend "Digital Leadership" to those who wish to be creative leaders in whatever they do and would like to use digital opportunities to connect better to their audience, to build up their personal brand and to succeed in the highly competitive and image-sensitive market of our age.

"Digital Leadership" is written in a personal and passionate tone. It's highly accessible reading, whether you are experienced in the field of social media and creativity or not. The author demonstrates her deep and broad knowledge of - as well as a true passion for - these topics. The content is a good mix of experience, theory, case studies and hands-on advice on how to be more creative both on- and off-line.

The book's subtitle mentions "creativity in business", but I highly recommend it to anyone interested in personal and organisational development whether in business, government or the community.

While being a treasure trove of insight and advice that really inspires you to take action and change, the book is a quick read. This is a good thing, as you will want to re-read "Digital Leadership" often for new ideas or a refill of energy and inspiration.
