LED Display Technology: LED (light-emitting diode) TVs are actually a type of LCD TV. LCD HDTVs use standard compact fluorescent tubes to illuminate the picture. LED HDTVs, on the other hand, replace those fluorescent tubes with backlighting technology. LED TVs might therefore say "LCD display" on the packaging--this is perfectly normal. First one was so dim couldn't see anything, apparently the backlight, or something like that, had failed. To be fair the replacement came quickly and the picture was perfect and only spoilt by a small 4 inch crack in the screen. Again the replacement was reasonably quick and you guessed it didn't work at all. At this stage we gave up on a television and have taken up scrabble in the caravan.

debated weather to purchase 16inch tv/dvd player which was not showing any make on the internet or pay slightly more for a cello which seemed to have good reviews but opting for the former I was pleasantly surprised to receive a cello anyway. the setup for freeview tv and radio was very easy the trickiest bit was screwing the base on as I am a bit ham fisted but at least I possessed a pz1 screwdriver for the very tiny screws.the full instruction manual is available online but it is some 45 pages so rather than use up my printer ink iphoned cello and they gladly agreed to send a manual in the post. the sound is abit tinny but I only use earphones as it is for bedtime use only and the sound is great through earphones also the picture changes significantly unless viewing in direct line with the screen again not a problem using it in bed.i have a 20plus year old 12v/240v 10inch tele in the kitchen with a digi box and the picture is perfect from even the most acute viewing angle so it does surprise me a little that the viewing angle is nowhere near as good on the cello

I would not recommend this tv as it is very cheaply made especially the screen which is very flimsy. You have to view it strait on or the picture is black which is no good if you have a number of people watching it. The stand slopes the tv back so you have to prop it up with a book or something or the screen is all black. After a couple of weeks my wife noticed a blue mark at the top of the tv and we saw that the screen had split. Reported it to the seller who said it was my fault by 'pinching it' when I took it out of the box, I think it had bubble wrap around it. Seller not interested in a replacement or help which is reiterated in a number of feed backs on this product. You can do a lot better by buying a tv from another seller and a better produced item.

Th TV we received is a Manta.
The picture is fine and the sound is as good as you would expect for a tv of this size/price, it is to be used in our VW camper to primarily watch recorded shows on USB stick in AVI and MKV formats and the TV plays both formats OK.
I plugged it into our house TV Ariel and it found all the channels you would expect it to find.
The DVD works well although I could not find anywhere on the remote or manual on how to eject the DVD in the end I found an eject button on the top of the TV.
Tried it with a HDMI connected device and this may cause problems for some people if they are constantly removing the cable because all the connections for scart, hdmi etc are in a recess and it is a struggle to get the moulded plug into the connection, but it does go in, maybe get the cable in and leave it is the way to go.
Only tested it at home so far I will post more when its had more use.

I bought this TV for my craft room where I like to do paint and sew, so I wanted the facility of being able to play DVD's. We have another TV which is in the sitting room and thought that we could record onto a USB with this TV unfortunately this is not the case, so imagine my surprise when I looked closely at the hand control for this amazing little TV.....Yes I can record programs onto a USB stick and it works brilliantly, GREAT. This TV is such a good buy and full of surprises, the picture and sound quality is good but could be better. The setting up process is very easy and ready to go in minutes, so all in all I am very pleased and would recommend to anyone requiring a small TV. Thank you.

This is the second one I've bought. The first was working great until I dropped it onto a concrete floor. Didn't do it much good. This one is working just as well as the first. Picture quality is excellent. Big enough screen to be able to watch it from quite a distance away. Small enough to tuck it out of the way. I read that the sound is poor and low in volume. Rubbish. Sound quality is quite high. I found that, if it is boxed in, or on a shelf in a wall cupboard for instance, volume is high. The speaker is at the back, so in certain positions, it's louder behind than in front. Play with it. When I'm out and about I use a very small 4" spike aerial, mounted by a magnet on the van roof. This tv loves it, and gives beautiful results. If you're in the market for a 12 volt portable tv, you won't go far wrong with one of these.

We have just bought one of these TVs for the boat as it had both 12 and 240 volt power options, DVD VGA etc. The one that was delivered was the Cello version which was supposed to be the better version.

The setup was extremely easy and the picture on all of the channels was great, crystal clear.

However, as with other reviews, we found that the sound is not so much tinny, but blanketed. We tried the sound setup with more bass and less treble but to no avail.

I will be putting the sound output through a separate amp and speaker system, it is a pity, as the TV, although not cheap in comparison to its 240 volt counterparts, is let down badly by the rubbish on-board speakers.
