plenty of pictures of Sony made playback machines eg CD and SACD players but not of the actual discs themselves.
other Sony made formats like SACD, DVD-A, DAT and MiniDisc are now historical formats that ran out of steam as far as public interest goes though.
No mention of CD-R and CD-RW related but Mp3 is mentioned though.
NB Mp3 is now being surplanted by WAV formats as hard drive in Gbytes/$US is always falling with time - 1++Tbyte sized drives now cheap and common.
This book is 4th edition in 2001 and is now well out of date as new (in 2009) SHM-CD (universal) format takes the CD format technology closer to SACD.
