This 5-film box set is, on the whole, a great deal fun - and for under £11 on Blu-ray it's a bargain!

The saga concerns the adventures of various hard-working (often European) criminal gangs, usually headed by psychotic masterminds, who invent amazing plots to make their fortunes. Yet, notwithstanding their efforts (which have obviously taken them months, if not years, to devise and come to fruition), their plans are always foiled ... by the same lone cop! This dastardly police officer refuses to give these genius-level law-breakers a chance. Indeed, so determined is he to prevent their success that he often operates completely outside his jurisdiction (in different States in the USA, and in altogether different countries around the world). This cop, who's neither particularly clever nor a great fighter, seems to possess one super-hero type power: he's virtually invulnerable!

I really enjoyed the first film. I thought the second was even better. The third was not quite as good. The fourth was great. The fifth was a bit of a let down (though still watchable). These movies - especially the initial couple - helped define the action genre, as well as help create and maintain Bruce Willis as a film star. They're as iconic as, say, the Dirty Harry movies.

For action fans, especially those who aren't rooting for the bad guy, this is an excellent collection.

There is little that I can add to my fellow Die Hard aficionados excellent and comprehensive reviews expect to say “Yippie ki yay”, all 5 films in one Blu Ray box set. So, sit back, load up your Blu Ray player and enjoy. Even the much generally derided Die Hard 5 is worth a watch.

As described and what it should be. A blu-ray collection of all the currently released Die Hard films. Sure some of the newer ones aren't as good as the classics but to have them all? Couldn't turn down that opportunity!

this package is good, well for disc's 1 - 4 it is good.
disc 5 [die harder] I wouldn't know as I have not been able to play it on any of my 3 Blu-ray players, on one of them it tells me to update the firmware, on the other 2 both with the latest firmware installed it freezes at the start,

after doing some research I have discovered that for the majority of replies in the Blu-Ray forums and other film forums it would appear that the producers of this disc decided to play with the Blu-Ray format which makes most players unable to play it.

my advice is, either buy the pack, and use die harder as a coaster for your coffee, or just buy the Dvd version and at least you are virtually guaranteed to be able to watch it.

I think Amazon should put a Warning regarding this on their website as I am not the first person to find a problem with this film.

Just cancelled my preorder after I did the maths, you can buy the blu ray box set of 1 - 4 for £11. It's nuts to pay this much just to include the worst Die Hard movie.

Buy the 1 - 4 box set and just buy 5 when it comes out.
