This is a review of Dial A Stud.( book 2 Louie's Story) by J A Melville on behalf of A Book Lovers Emporium.
You'd be forgiven for thinking with a title of Dial A Stud, this book could be a little preconceived- BUT you would be so wrong. This book is so much more. First of all M/M is one of my favourite genre, secondly the story is a solid excellent one and thirdly the sex was off the scale scorching hot!!!
It is very well written, if not slightly repetitive where things were repeated when they didn't need to be. Thankfully this cleared quickly and led to an amazing story of Louie and Harry.
Harry's partner of a year breaks the relationship off quite suddenly and Harry goes to a club to drown his sorrows in alcohol. Harry is shy and has had the confidence knocked out of him by previous boyfriends and his parents in particular. Along comes Louis who is gorgeous, sexy and older than Harry and full of confidence, enough for the both of them. They are intensely attracted to one another almost immediately and Louie takes Harry under his wing so to speak. Things escalate quicker than Harry would like but Louie is hiding a massive secret that could potentially blow Harry's world apart. Will Louie be Harry's saving grace, or is his wild promiscuous past too much for Harry to cope with. Only time will tell.
Nora is Harry's best female friend and they have known each other since childhood. Nora has no filter on her mouth which leads to some funny and enjoyable moments along the way throughout this book.
I can honestly say I adored all the characters and they were well written and easy to read about. This book was an absolute joy to read and I would thoroughly recommend it. M/M is not for everyone but if you like to dabble, then this is the book for you, without a doubt !!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read...Hot, Erotic and Much More!!! 21 Feb. 2016

Where do I start...I loved this story. After reading Book 1, I didn't know how JA Melville was going to to top it, but she did. The story of a M/M was written beautifully. Louis, with all his baggage, meets Harry, broken hearted. The journey the two men trying to over come all the heartache they each have. You throw in Nora, Harry's best friend and you have one must read book. It is full of emotions, hot erotic sexy, heartache, even tears, have the tissues handy, and laughter. A Must Read!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Was given this book for free by inked rainbow reads for an honest review 20 May 2016

WARNING:::::::::: do not read if you do not like a book that will have you emtionally invested in it. This definitely one of those books.

I found myself in such an emotional state reading this book. And it was not just one emotion either it was several different ones. I found myself laughing at Nora and Harry and their bickering back and forth. I wanted to strangle Louis for being so dang hard headed. I cried for both Louis and Harry for the medical and emotional turmoil they was going through. And I found that feared that Harry was going to lose Louis on a few different occasions.

This book completely engrossed me and wrapped itself around me until I felt like I was part of this book.

Louis and Harry both made fall in love with them. Their characters was just spit in for this book and they made each other while on so many different levels.

This is definitely a book that I recommend others to read and dare them to say that it did not affect them. J.A. Melville did a superb job and should definitely be proud of this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet, emotional 17 May 2016

Dial A Stud: Louis' Story by J. A Melville
4 stars
M/M Romance
Triggers: Illness, death
I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

This was quite the story. Not only was it emotional, I became engrossed in the mystery that was Louis. While I will admit that I thought the story began quite slowly, I stuck with it and am so glad that I did.

At first, I was very wary of Louis. He seemed so flighty - almost like he was looking to just hook up with Harry rather than pursue something real. Because he was so mysterious about his health, job and where he was jetting off to at random times, I began to really dislike Louis.

Harry was just an all around sweet guy. I really enjoyed his life and reading about his friend, Nora. She was a great secondary character and I loved her business! Harry was almost too forgiving, in my opinion. He was understanding but also was able to learn to stand up for himself.

This book was a great read that was emotionally charged. I had a few issues with little things in the story, but not so much that it detracted from my enjoyment.
2.0 out of 5 stars not for me 4 Mar. 2016
By Christina Wade - Published on Amazon.com

This book was not for me. I think it had potential and there were moments when the emotions sucked me in but overall I had several issues with it. Louis’ story could have been heart-wrenching and profound but it fell short.

I’ll admit that I skimmed a lot because I just wasn’t into the book or I had too much. The dialog was undeveloped and seemed a bit robotic/stiff at times. I felt like the author spent more time developing the descriptions of the scenes than the dialog between the characters. Harry was extremely immature and I understand he’s been hurt and mistreated but the lack of self-confidence wore on me as the story progressed.

These men were in each other’s presence 3-4 times, primarily for sex, and they were head over heels in love. I am not a fan of instalove.

Nora, the GBF of Harry, was too over the top for me, again she seemed like a forced character. I learned more about Harry and Louis from her conversations with them…almost like she was the story teller for them. It didn’t work for me.
