How do you feel Codemasters knowing that people with no Internet connection will buy your product and can't play the game? That's scummy integrity when somebody pays £50 for a game.
This version (Day one edition, Xbox one s) is currently a mess. The visuals look like someone has over applied a blur filter which makes some stages near impossible because it is like driving in jelly! When compared with Forza Horizon 4 this just looks terrible. Also, requiring an internet connection even for single player is not acceptable, and adding paid for content is disappointing, especially when the new tracks are not as good as the originals.
On the plus side, the handling is still great, in fact it is better on a pad that the original. There is the potential for an amazing game here, they just really need to look at the visuals
graphically poor for a modern game..poor weather effects the rain is a joke. Take a look at the weather on drive club it's amazing and thats 5yrs + old..
The ffb is shocking like nothing.. full of bugs. Audio is all over the place the list goes on & on.
Poor effort from codemasters whom have yrs in this genre no excuses for this bad bad game. DIRT RALLY 2.0 should of been a masterpiece following the brilliant original DIRT RALLY with eye candy graphics brillant stages but they screwed us over yet again..
Lets hope the new WRC title coming this fall can deliver a masterpiece as wrc7 was good but not perfect by far... fingers crossed.
Verdict wait till this title drops to £20 by then all the dlc will be included & maybe all whats wrong ironed out... but for now it's way over priced.
Anyway, I personally love this game, it’s similar to both Dirt Rally and Dirt 4, however I am a controller user and find this manageable compared to the original Dirt Rally.
The graphics look more realistic, and yes the sun light does cause blur but it’s the realism that creates this.
Ignore the negatives reviews, especially from those who have not even purchased it.
I award a 4 star rather than a 5 because it seems you need an internet connection all the time! and where’s the 2001 Subaru Impreza :-(
Apart from that, I’m loving this game
Yes it does look different to Forza Horizon, it’s supposed to, but looks fantastic in its own way.
