Being a Buddhist,I have to admit that the title drew me in but then saw it was one of my most favourite authors!
His books arent that easy to find-either in paper books or Kindle so I was really happy about this.
His books always bring in an element of the spiritual world and by that,I DONT mean religion as we know it.
He writes about the 'other' paths, and tho some could say fantasy,it doesn'''''t come over as that.
Great book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Set the Wayback Machine for fun & mystery! 14 Nov. 2012
By Jack V. Johnson - Published on Amazon.com

Gently sweet story about a mysterious love set in 1967 Newford. Well written, as always, with characters nicely drawn in the short-story format. I'm also loving being able to pick up stories I missed in their original publications - I hope the dynamic duo of Charles de Lint and MaryAnn Harris publish many more of these!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for young adults. 4 Nov. 2013

I love all the Charles de Lint tales. Listed for young adults but I am a Grandmother and love it. Fantasy, with rich layers of character development and unique insights.
3.0 out of 5 stars The Summer of Love 8 Jan. 2013
By I am Blind Man - Published on Amazon.com

Welcome to the ‘Summer of Love’. “Darma” is another short story by Charles de Lint. It is a quick look back at a pivotal time in North American society and it explores the effects that rippled through the lives of everyone who experienced it. While not my favourite ‘de Lint’ short story, “Darma” is a good read and I certain that most will enjoy it. It speaks of potential and the mystery that love can bring into our world.
5.0 out of 5 stars Real Love in a Real World - with Magical Twist 31 Dec. 2012
By Elizabeth A. Miller - Published on Amazon.com

In an economy of words, Charles de Lint asks, What is real? "...sometimes the only real truths are the ones we make for ourselves," says one of the characters. This is a classic little story of love and loss, and it left me not with any question of what is real, but the certainty that love is real, however we experience it. I believed in the characters, and I believed in their love. Another sweet winner for de Lint.
4.0 out of 5 stars Love the Kindle edition Charles DeLints work 15 Mar. 2013

Charles DeLint is one of my favorite authors. So far I have not read a book or story by Charles DeLint that I did not like. I received a Kindle in 2010 so was very happy to be able to get some of Mr. DeLint's never work in Kindle format
