Product Description

Dewberry's fairy spirit is one of great knowledge and wisdom. Unfortunately, wisdom takes longer to acquire than knowledge! In her constant quest to obtain ever more knowledge, Dewberry uncovers the Legend of Paragon, an ancient ruler, and his three marshals-Exemplar, Criterion, and Apotheosis. Dewberry enlists the aid of her friends, Primrose and Snapdragon, in seeking the Lost Chest of Paragon, rumored to contain a great gift of ancient and powerful knowledge, one she hopes to share with all of mankind. But when the chest is found, a catastrophe occurs, one so powerful that even fairy magic is nowhere near strong enough to fix the problem. But it was Dewberry's relentless search for knowledge that caused this disaster in the first place, and she will have to do everything she can to make it right again...

We have been enjoying the many books in this series. This one was a little more complex than the previous adventures and finds Dewberry tracking down a chest containing lost wisdom and knowledge. She doesn't exercise caution and ends up in BIG trouble. She learns from her mistake and that is what draws us to Dewberry--she's human but a good kind of human. This book made my children think and they seem now to be "thinking before leaping" because they don't want to make a mistake as big as the one Dewberry made. I like the "growing up" stage they are going through and a book like this is something they are well able to relate to.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Book 7 Jun. 2009
A Kid's Review - Published on
Format: Paperback
I read this book and I am nine. Dewberry is so smart she can be a doctor someday. Dewberry is hungry for knowledge. She gets into trouble and Mother Nature has to fix it. I like Dewberry because we all get into trouble sometimes. I learned what a grebe bird is from this book. Snapdragon and Primrose don't get into trouble but they are with Dewberry. This book has color pictures but it is a big story too. It has eight chapters. I liked reading this book and adding it to my book collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dewberry and the lost chest of paragon 4 Mar. 2012
A Kid's Review - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Dewberry and the lost chest of paragon is a good book, but isn't the best book in the world. In this book, dewberry finds the lost chest of paragon, and decides she must open it. Her friend warn her that she shouldn't do it without the consult of a grownup first, but not even they can stop dewberry. She opens the chest, and realeses three things of evil. Then the grownup fairys come, and with help from the three girls, they manage to stop the things of evil from destroying the world.
