Patient X is following a stalker to try and play out their sinister game... who will end up getting hurt?

This story follows 3 perspectives; the psychologist, the patient and Rachel - who is being stalked by someone. My main problem with this book was that there was way too many red herrings, if I was Rachel I would have seriously considered moving or changing my taste in friends as every person she met had the potential to be the creepy person who leaves her presents and threatens her. I'm fine with having a few wrong leads but when the narrative is leaving it open to be every single character, it starts to get a little too unbelievable and wearing.
Having said that, of the two revelations at the end, one was completely predictable from page one but the other one was a nice surprise which redeemed the story in my eyes a little. It also switches perspectives nicely and flows well - I read it in two sittings so it definitely kept me hooked and wanting to find out the ending.

Overall an ok read but not highly recommended.

Excellent thriller, so intense and mysterious. There are shocks galore in this superbly written story. Never a dull moment is a massive understatement, it is gripping through out. It was a pleasure to read.

Downright creepy, so much so that it had me looking over my shoulder. This book has two storylines, the psychologist treating a killer, whilst following her own agenda of fame and fortune. At the same time a young woman is being stalked and the psychologists patient is watching her being stalked. Sound like a nightmare? Well it has all the ingredients of one and it gave me one after reading a few chapters. What would you do if someone was in your house while you slept, touched your things and what if every person you came in contact with was a possible suspect. It was really well plotted out and the author created a great sense of foreboding. I enjoyed it eventhough it gave me the heebiejeebies.

This was a well written psychological thriller that was entertaining through-out. There wasn't that much of a surprise as to who-dunnit due to the limited number of characters and the last chapter felt a bit mad and hurried but the overall plot was well thought out.

Although I hate padded out books I do feel that a bit more flesh could have been put on some of the characters e.g. Gloria the psychiatrist, that would have enhanced the story.

But still a thoroughly engaging read.
