I bought this book in paperback after I watched the author talk about it on his youtube channel.
I wanted to see it printed because I am a writer myself and I am learning about how to make a print book for when my manuscript will be ready.

I like the cover and the overall design of this book very much.

The story is gripping. In a way, it reminded me of House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski. Lots of stuff that I like takes place within the story: dreams, obe, nightmares, and memories.

I would love to interview the author about his writing process. As far as a gathered from his video, this novel took several years to write (about 5 I believe), and reading it, it becomes clear why it took so long.

This story will stay with me for sure.

A Masterpiece!

‘In the Devil’s Dream” is a riveting page turner. It’s a gripping read that will grab on to you and not let you go. I read the entire book in two sittings, unable to put it down. This novel will establish Troy Scott as a master of psychological thrillers!

Brilliantly done! Gail Michael, Author

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! I'm impressed! 30 July 2016

First off, I love the supernatural elements mixed with the themes of loss and facing ones own inner demons. It's not often that you find a book woven so well while still having a simple construct of language. I must admit, at first I was a little skeptical. After all, there are so many constructions centered around death and loss (like that god awful Babadook movie) that I wasn't sure what I was getting into. Now that I've read this, I've been taken through a dark tale that not only accurately symbolizes depression and loss but also is a fun, intriguing read. I can't wait to read more.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book took my breath away......... 15 Oct. 2014

I got this book for free on ohfb.com and was attracted to the title. I had no idea that this book was going to be as multi-layered, complex, beautiful, and frightening as it was. I finished it in 2 nights, and I was absolutely blown away by the masterful story telling, the gorgeous descriptions that I read, and the depth of the actual tale. I contacted Mr. Scott on Facebook to let him know that it's a rare occurrence for me to be so disappointed that a book ended. I so wished that I could go back and read it for the 1st time and experience it again.... I will be reading it the 2nd time with as much anticipation and probably savoring it slowly, like a fine piece of chocolate. It's just that good......

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping from beginning to end 6 Jan. 2015

Unexpectedly metaphorical, filled with vivid imagery, and threaded together with themes of loss, trauma, mental illness, and letting go. Carve some time out of your week because it is nearly impossible to put down, and pay close attention because you won't want to miss a single detail. Troy manages to personify inner demons in a truly chilling manner. A must read.

This book was impossible to put down. It will take you down into the mind of a tormented individual and show you the darkest corners of human imagination. It is looped together so seamlessly that I had the urge to start at the beginning again!
